Or nearly that much.....

If we get Love, most of the current roster will be new. If we don't and Embiid slips, it seems indicators are we draft him and blow the whole thing up. One way or another, this is pretty Looney Tunes. I kinda like it though......

Danny is not going to give up on Rondo that soon.  He will continue to try to find Rondo help and keep him happy.  I don't see why missing out on Love is any reason to overreact.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

You may be correct but it seems that they have set up for that contingency. I find it interesting that they have a trade to move Jeff Green already in place.

Did any of the Ainges come out and say that Jeff Green is being traded? At this point that could be pure posturing as well. Do I expect change,  yes, but it's going to come in the form of a new player at #6 and a new player at #17.
Unfortunately I don't expect all the fireworks like all of you drama queens.

I still say both scenarios are unlikely. We probably just take Gordon 6th and nothing happens until maybe the trade deadline (if the team is bad and keeping Rondo becomes risky).

But man...  I am super excited for this draft.  I can't wait.

Change is needed because the Celtics are not very good right now.

I just hope we are not stuck with Rondo and Carmelo.  Having a ton of money tied up in those two clowns would guarantee a terrible team.  Two selfish players.  One pounding the ball and the other taking all the shots for the team.  Neither one playing any defense.

Nothing could be worse.

If Danny picks Embiid, trades away our players and leaves it at that, he should be fired.

If we HAVE to go through the draft, we need to get the #1 pick somehow and pair Rondo up with Parker.

How do plan on getting that #1 pick?
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Supposedly Cleveland is looking into trading down to 3-5 and trying to take Embiid there. No guarantees, but I think if DA makes them a good offer, he might be able to get it done. Obviously I don't know what kind of offer Cleveland would take, so I can't say for sure. What I do know is that the "blow it up and pick Embiid" option is the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. a bad team pulls. It doesn't get us anywhere, and only guarantees misery.

After completely blowing it with the #1 pick last year, there is no way that cleveland trades down to take the most risky prospect in the lottery. They will take Parker or Wiggins, or trade the pick for a superstar vet like Love, but trading down to get a player with two bad injuries, no way.

Welcome to bargaining and posturing in the NBA = we have to say this to call the Wolves bluff as to say we don't have to wait for you guys till the trade deadline to do a Love deal we can move on too

I will try.  How is this?

3 way trade with Lakers and Warriors.

Then 3 way trade with Cavs and Wolves.

Rondo to Lakers with 15 Clippers pick for 7 and Nash.

7 and Olynyk and 15 Philly pick for Thompson and Bass/Anthony/Bogans for Lee.

Then Lee and Green and Sullinger and #6 to Cavs, Varajeo and Klay Thompson and T Thompson and Waiters to Wolves, Love and Martin and #1 to Boston.

Cavs get 2018 Nets pick.  Wolves get 2016 Nets pick.

Throw everything we have at getting Parker and Love.  Resign Bradley.  Get Asik with TPE.  Wallace is at SF.  Use exceptions to get 2 bench players.

Cavs get Embiid or Vonleh at 6.  For moving down they get Sullinger and picks and they swap Varajeo for Lee.  Get Green at SF and Bennett can move to PF.

Wolves get Waiters, K Thompson, and T Thompson with Varajeo and picks for Love.
