Even if they get Wiggins at #2, they are likely to still not be great since Giannis is so young and they just paid Sanders so much and who knows where he will be.

MY thought is Rondo/Bass/Sullinger plus 2015 Philly pick

for

Ilyasova, Mayo, Delfino, 2015 Milwaukee pick

Phillys pick is top 14 protected.  IF it turns into two seconds, Milwaukee gets those instead.  If Milwaukee somehow gets the 16th pick and Philly's pick is 15, we would get a worse pick.  Thats almost impossible to happen.  Odds are we will get a top 10 pick from Milwaukee (probably top 7) and they will get two 2nds.

We take back some mediocre to bad contracts to add to some others (Green, Wallace, Mayo, Ilyasova, Delfino), and we would have NO cap room until summer 2016 - but we would have two potentially high picks next year.

Mayo/Green/Ilyasova would at least keep us from getting blown out for the next year, they key would be to take expiring 2016 contracts of Green, Mayo, and Wallace and package them with picks next summer to get something good.

As far as young players, draft Exum or Smart at point guard this year.  Maybe draft a project/young player like LaVine, Anderson, Young at SG at 17 if one of them is still there.  OR the big guy Nurkic.

Sign Bradley for two years so he expires with Green, Wallace, Mayo or just dont sign him at all and give those minutes to Mayo and the 17th pick.

Obviously if they had the #3 pick this year, I would rather go for that.  I dont think they would even discuss the #2 pick this year.

I think next summer we could be looking at  having two young players (Olynyk, Smart) plus two high picks, a third pick (from Clippers) four contracts with a year left, another with two years on it (Ilyasova) .  Green and Ilyasova would have more value than the other 3 guys (Mayo, Delfino, Wallace)

Really, we could be in a position similar to the one that Orlando is in now.  They have a couple of good young players in Vucevic and Oladipo.  Two good picks.  and a few contracts that arent that desirable in Jameer Nelson and Jason Maxiell.  Afflalo is similar to Ilyasova, but he is a better player.  Harkless should improve, he still has two years left at around $2 mil per.

Rondo AND Sullinger for bad contracts and a future 1st? Blech, no. Before the season even starts it's a coin flip whether that pick is worth more than Sullinger alone.

Remember that thing were people don't want to trade for Love because he only has one season under contract?

Well, same thing with Rondo.

At least Love would be going to Boston with a good organization, and one All Star already in place.

Wiggins, Giannis, Henson, Sanders would be the longest team in the league.  Rondo would sign on to play alongside them.

If we can't get Love, it's my opinion that Rondo should be traded for a pick in this years draft (7-9) or one that's likely to be top 7 next year. Especially if Smart or Exum can be had at 6.   No guarentee that he resigns here next year.  Sullinger doesn't have to be included, but he might be what puts it over the top for the Bucks plus with Ilyasova here we wouldn't really need him.

One year from now you have a ton of one year, tradeable contracts and two very good draft picks.  Bucks will be built for future but not for this coming season because they will be too young.

This is similar to Sixers trading Jrue for Hornets first.  Would put us in good position for sign and trades to get two stars next summer.  Ilyasova/Wallace plus 2 picks for Star #1 and Green/Mayo and 2 picks for star #2.   We then have Smart and two top players to go with Olynyk and whoever we get at 17.

Teams would be willing to trade and get something in return instead of losing star players outright.  Star players would rather be traded because they can resign and make more money than they would as a free agent.

There's no way he would....

If no Love for us, doesn't Rondo for #7 and Nash from the Lakers just make the most sense for both teams rather than this contorted Milwaukee trade?
