After I read this article, here's my thought
http://prosportsdaily.com/Headlines/ExternalArticle?articleId=309563-First, we deal Joel Anthony to a team (like Philadelphia) that can absorb his contract while taking back no salary (maybe a future pick or something.)
-Then we absorb the deals of Asik, Lin and Motiejunas from Houston with our TE and non-guaranteed deals (Bogans and Chris Johnson.)
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=pleysk5-In the process, we get a couple decent players from Houston (of course this is even better for us if we can nab Love)
-Also, we help Houston clear all the cap space they need to go after Lebron and help out our buddy Kevin McHale (who unlike Flip isn't a you know what and dealt his star player to Boston back in 2007.)
-If Houston offers Lebron a max deal, don't you think he takes it to play with Harden and Howard? That's a better team than what Miami has to offer.
-If not, then Houston can go after Melo. I'd love to have Melo in Boston, but something tells me it's probably not going to happen so why not deal him to McHale's team (the next best thing.)
In addition to returning the favor, we also help one major star from the Eastern Conference leave to go to the Western Conference.
