Woj reiterated that sully and KO aren't getting it done.  Minn may keep love into the season.

noticing that Felger is quiet because he doesn't know SQUAT about Basketball. Hopefully there's less Hockey talk and more BBall talk.
Felger is out today :)

Neither one of them is an NBA Insider lets just say that.

Other than Love, who could Boston go after?

Wojo: Do they flip picks for an established guy or use those picks and gather assets?  Minnesota is not dying for Sully or KO (not in the context of a Love deal)...they'll trade anyone at any time.  You can say you'll deal Rondo, but does the right deal come up?  They've always been open...Boston's NEVER felt "hey we have to get rid of this guy" about Rondo...

If they miss the boat on Love, they may look at things differently...Sacramento will stay after Rondo, they'll probably stay on him...You could get #8 and Mclemore, but that's not enough for Boston.

If no Love, I personally say  Reqquest Embied medical records asap.  Pick up Asik with the TPE, Go after Haywayrd, and  do what the spurs are doing. IF Embied works out, Joel, Asik, Sully, and KO is a pretty impressive back  court. I wouldn't even mind pickin up lin depending how many years he got left. These guys have the IQ to play some real team ball IMO

Forgive me if a cap situation prevents this from happening

Nope. By the trade deadline they will trade him at worse

So, Flip is playing a really dangerous game here...If Minnesota is going with the whole "These deals will still be there in February" idea, that could be the silliest thing I've heard.

No, Flip, these deals might not be there in February...The Celtics could find another trade partner, their picks could end up being beasts and they keep them...That's only two of the 500 possibilities that could happen from now, until February.

If you know you're losing Love, then you deal him now...You CAN'T assume that anything that is there today will be there tomorrow...That's bad management.  Not to say I'd be surprised......

Yea, pretty silly to me as well. If flip waits until the season starts to play out , every team is going to lowball the wolves knowing that there desperate and have to take something. And if they don't bite they'll just lose him for nothing =/

100% right.  If nothing else, teams that might be willing to trade for Love if they then get a year to convince him to stay long term will not be interested if they've only got a few months to sell him.

If we draft Embiid, and Love stays, we should be able to have the cap space to sign Love as a FA in 2015, without giving up any assets, as well as Rondo.  A team starring Rondo, Love and Embiid, with Green, Sullinger, Olynyk, Bradley and our 17th pick (Warren?) would be pretty darn impressive, tough to beat.  Add another back-up center to spell Embiid.  That would be fun to watch.

And Love would probably jump at the chance to play with such a strong team with such a young nucleus.  Heck, Lebron may be tempted to join us instead!!

"Danny Ainge is not afraid to get fired..."

I just wanna say how awesome a comment is that?! Seriously? The balls on that guy, man. Just tremendous. I'm glad he's our GM.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

How are you going to get Love without Sully or Oly?  Do you expect them to give him to us?  One or both those guys will be in the deal most likely.

In my opinion there is no way the T-Wolves don't move Love before the draft.  If a deal hasn't been made by the draft Flip should be fired in both of his positions and a competent GM brought in.

What are the T-Wolves going to do with Love, make the playoffs in the West?  I don't think so.  How many teams are going to be in contention and willing to move a meaningful piece of a team that got them in contention for half a season of Love?  That would be moronic.  The Wolves will never get as much as they could get now at the trade deadline and never have the certainty of where draft picks they get will ultimately land.  This may be the deepest draft in years.

If they don't pull the trigger on one of these deals before the draft, their fans should revolt.

It's a lot less dangerous to posture that you think the deals will be there in February while fully intending to take one at draft time.
