Did Rusillo say why he thought the Love to GS deal was dead?  who was backing out of it?

Imo the wolves want a future 1st and the gsw want the wolves 13th.

What could end up happening is the gsw gives up barnes and while the wolves gives up the 13th
If Wolves actually get swindled out of a pick in a Love trade Flip should be fired immediately.

The gsw take a big hit if love decides to leave. I can see why they at least want a 1st in addition

So Minnesota would be out Love & a first rounder?

Ummm....yeah.  Like Faf mentioned, Flip should be fired right away if that happens.

He should be fired and fined if that happens

They can trade their 2015 first rounder as soon as the draft ends.  They can trade additional first rounders as long as they're 2019 or later.

Great, thanks!

What about this trade idea.

To gsw: love, martin, bass, 13th pick
To wolves: thompson, lee, green,17th pick
To celts: pekovic, barnes, 40th and 53rd picks

Just said from what he understands, things had settled down and they were close to dead at this point...Didn't really elaborate on why or who caused the talks to die down.

Pek, Love, and a lotto pick. Makes tons of sense for MIN  ::)
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Rumor is dieng is the center of the future for min.

Pek is a risky pickup for the celts but if healthy we get a legit strating c. Danny has always liked barnes.

This isn't bad, and you usually drive me nuts with the No Love ideas.

But Why is GWS getting the 13th? Tare getting the best deal. You don't give them a lotto pick on to of that. We would be taking on the longest contract in Pek, who is a good scorer and rebounder, but not a great rim protector and getting 12 mill for the next 3 seasons. That being said, I'd rather have him than Asik.

Either we should keep the 17th, or get the 13th, they can keep the 40th and 53rd.

It's not a good enough deal for Minnesota at all.  Why would they trade Love and a higher draft pick for Thompson (who has real value), Lee (who is WAY Overpaid) and Green who doesn't help them.  To me they would just take Lee, Thompson and Barnes...

Plus you really think that Green, Bass and the 17th Pick would get you Pekovik  (who is only 28 and averaged 17+ and 9 Rebounds) plus Barnes and 2 #2's?  Talk about over valuing our players...

More like Minnesota would be out Love and a guaranteed top 5 pick.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Think maybe Thompson doesn't  want to be in Minny so the deal dies.

No bc wolves want a 1st. Even 17 would make them happy.

Think maybe Thompson doesn't  want to be in Minny so the deal dies.

That doesn't really matter because he's not a free agent.  So he has to play wherever he's dealt.

Good, I am glad. Serves Minnesota and Saunders right.

I thought the motivation was Minnesota will give him a max deal. He definitely can't get that in Golden State. It depends on what he finds most important, I guess. Good teams will not break the bank for him, but a desperate bad team might. The T'Wolves aren't even that bad, just bad in the West. The problem is it's not an attractive location/franchise to play for.

Thompson has one more year  left. They don't want another Love Scenario if they play like $h!t and he wants out.
