Hearing the Cavs and Jazz have discussed a swap of picks. Jazz would move up to take Parker and Cavs would likely get Favors and 5.

So does that mean the Cavs get Embiid at pick five?

Very interesting. The Jazz desperately want Parker, who'll be widely popular in Utah. Favors instantly improves that team while giving them the 5 pick. Makes me think the Cavs could in turn try to package the #5, Thompson, and Waiters to Minnesota for Love, even with no commitment of him re-signing, just to upgrade their team further and attempt to lure James. Irving, Love, and Favors would be an extremely attractive team for James to play for.

May have to add 17 instead of Clip pick.  Favors better than Sullinger, no?

Do you have a source for this? Or did some random guy at a sports bar tell you this?

I don't see this as the Cavs taking Embiid at 5 necessarily.  Favors would be there center.  They could take Vonleh as power forward.  And why couldn't we work out a deal with Philly or Orlando, assuming neither of them want to take Embiid, to leap over Cleveland at 5, if we were afraid they take Embiid at that spot.

I would have to imagine they would go for anyone other than Embiid if they are getting Favors.

Utah trading up for Jabari?

That's some Mormon love there.

Smart trade for Utah.

Not so much for Cleveland. Favors too similar to T.Thompson = bad fit. Plus Favors hasn't progressed well enough to sacrifice #1 pick over.

Haven't been able to confirm @Probballdraft report that Jazz are in talks with Cavs to send #5 pick, Derrick Favors to Cavs for #1 pick.

Derrick Favors' camp hadn't heard that the center is rumored to be included in a possible trade between the Jazz and Cavaliers.
