Sources: Warriors Trading David Lee, Harrison Barnes For Tyson Chandler 'Won't Happen'

However, this potential deal won't happen, according to sources.

The Warriors' only purpose in the potential trade would be shed the two years and nearly $30 million left on Lee's contract. Chandler has one year and less than $15 million remaining on his contract with the New York Knicks.

I already wrote this but didn't see anyone answer, But my question is if there offering lee to other teams.  How serious can they be to try to go after love , and lets just say klay would go in. Would klay barnes green be enough

I just want to fast forward to next thur already

Apparently, Golden State is working on something bigger...this is the latest from Wojo, from America's Pregame Twitter Account:

?Love will probably be moved before the deadline, most likely @warriors, he would sign extension, Klay must be apart of that.? @WojYahooNBA
Ugh wish the quotes problem was sorted can you edit the post? Is the last part your question or part of the tweet?

If the GSW offer Klay Thompson their offer trumps ours. I don't think they gut their roster like that but if they do they can have Love.

I'd be jumping right onto the Marc Gasol train if that happens though haha

if the Warriors give up Lee, Thompson, and Barnes, why would Love want to re-sign there? They would struggle to make the playoffs in the west.

Probably. Time to tell Flip to go pound sand. We have the best offer to get Love, but he is butt hurt because of the Kg trade. Boo Hoo.

Curry, not saying much but it's not like our situation trumps there's aside from Rondo w were only one of the worse teams the league.

reason for GSW

- Barnes experiement has not worked.
- They want to get rid of Lee's contract
- Klay Thompson is tough to give up, but you can let Curry focus on the shooting and for the team to get a player able to drive in/athletic defender.

reason for the Wolves

- You lose a big asset but replace it with three pretty good players
- They like Lee's contract bc he won't leave the team anytime soon
- Barnes could flourish in a different department and Thompson is a promising up and coming player in this league

So, if Minny really does agree on a deal with Love, should we be going after Lee? Obviously he isn't as good, but his name is being thrown around like a 'waste' contract. He was third team all-nba last season and is only signed for two more years - we could use our assets for another star while upgrading our pf position.

I know, even I am having a hard time getting behind this.

Here's the article from Holmes that goes along with the tweet that started this thread:

Interesting read...

So, so players? I'm confused, that's what Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Clay Thompson and David Lee are. You are just pushing dust from one side of the room to the other with that swap. No potential to get a star. Those aren't better offers.

Whatever Woj said is the best source on the subject by far, to me.  So I'll put the most stock in what he said and we'll wait and see.
