Now what to think? My goodness, this story is all over the place...this moments ago:

After talking to league sources, my new top-three potential destinations for Kevin Love: 1. GSW. 2. Chicago. 3. Denver.

GSW makes a lot of sense -- he stretches the floor the way they preferred to use Barnes while being better than Lee.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

This might be why stories are all over the place...posted minutes after Holmes' tweet:

@ChrisMannixSI  1m
Problem with Kevin Love rumors: No one really knows what 'Wolves want for him. An NBA-ready package? A pick-heavy one? Team cagey on it.

This might be the most important thing of all...Especially when thinking about that trip:

@ChrisMannixSI  1m
Eventually Minnesota will have to bring Love into the process. They may not like it, but his willingness to re-up a crucial part of any deal

(sorry for blowing up the posts, just a ton of stuff coming out...figured, while I'm at work to plow through it for you all)

yup, Love's willingness to resign with the trading partner will probably tip the scales in that team's favor regardless of what Minny prefers

What the heck does Denver have to offer that is better than ours?
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Pressure to offer more to the T-Wolves.

agree

why would he want to resign with denver or golden state, when all they would have left is Lawson or Curry ? Those teams would have similar role players to the c's , but those teams don't have the picks and TPE to continue adding around Love and their star PG , the C's do......

Plus the fact that Love actually spent time in Boston , meeting a certain star PG

What to think is a mix of "This is Minnesota's ideal offer ranking, not the offers they're actually getting" and "Boston's being excluded to keep trying to pressure them to sweeten their offer".  At least that's how I see it, but who knows.  It'll shake out by draft day in all likelihood.

until the draft, this is what you are going to hear every day. both teams are negotiating. Celtics want to give up the least possible, and the WOlves want to get the most possible in a love trade.

likely by the draft everything will sort itself out and the wolves will have to back down from their rediculous offers

Chad Ford 1PM chat today

"I was told by a good source in Minnesota that as of Monday, the Celtics had the best offer on the table and were the favorites to land Love. I think Bill Simmons reported something similar today. I know the Boston Herald just said the opposite -- that the Warriors and Nuggets had made better offers. But I'm skeptical. The Warriors won't include Klay Thompson (at least not yet). And the Nuggets? They have the 11th pick. They have Kenneth Faried. But what else? Gallinari? Hickson? I don't think that's a better offer than the Celtics."
===

Posted this elsewhere, but Ford claims he was sourced by T-Wolves.

Too many Love threads and I realize that news can get buried in one long thread, but this is getting messy when we're making threads up for when Baxter Holmes tweets.

It is poker, we just have to call them and see if they fold to our hand.
