If the Bulls can make cap space to get Melo why aren't they going after Lebron.

I'd hate to doom the NBA to 4 or 5 Bulls championships in a row, but it just makes sense for both of them.

Miami is going nowhere.  Too many holes to fill and too little money to go around if Wade really wants a max deal.  Lebron had that last days in Cleveland look on his face this series.  He knows it is over there.  Also Melo is not the answer in Miami.

That defense with Lebron's offense  *shudders*.  And for the first time in Lebron's career he'd have a good coach.  I can't see them winning less than 65 games and steam rolling the east.

I for one hope he stays in Miami and its Cleveland part duex for the next few years, but if he wanted to put a few more rings on his fingers I'd go to the Bulls.  It is just too good of a fit.

Report: LeBron James and his wife ?love Los Angeles?

LeBron James? season is over, and that means another free agent frenzy is brewing.

The Lakers are reportedly waiting to let LeBron choose their next coach, and I don?t believe it?s coincidence a report about LeBron?s unlimited options used the Clippers as its primary example.

Among the cities lining up to lure LeBron from the Heat, Los Angeles seems to be at the forefront.

Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports:

a source said James and his wife, Savannah, love Los Angeles. LeBron James also is close with Clippers point guard Chris Paul and he admires coach Doc Rivers.

Spears is a reliable reporter, and I?m convinced he?s right: LeBron loves Los Angeles. I know LeBron also loves Miami. I bet he loves New York, too. (Sit down, Knicks fans.)

There are probably several cities LeBron enjoys. That doesn?t mean he?s leaving the Heat.

The Clippers are a non-starter unless Donald Sterling no longer owns the team. Although that seems likely before next season, it might not be sewn up before LeBron is ready to sign. Even if Sterling is ousted in time, the Clippers have no cap room. LeBron would have to convince Pat Riley to do a sign-and-trade, probably based around Blake Griffin.

The Lakers have bottomed out, and LeBron alone won?t make them stronger than the Heat were with him. Kobe Bryant is no longer the player he once was, and his salary drastically limits the Lakers? options. If LeBron wants a situation like that, he might as well stick with Dwyane Wade. Maybe Carmelo Anthony also joining the Lakers would interest LeBron, but again, why not just do that in South Beach?

LeBron has been conspicuously mum about whether he will even terminate his contract to become a free agent this offseason. Asked last night about his decision, he said, ?I haven?t even really thought about that just yet.?

Until he does, we?re left just grasping at clues about his future. His fondness for Los Angles is one piece, but in the bigger puzzle, it probably doesn?t mean much.

I don't see Lebron leaving Miami.

He's got it made there.

Beautiful weather, no state taxes, playing with his friends and can pretty much get Pat Riley and Mickey Arison to sign any player he wants.

You could make points as to why he could and should go to Chicago, Houston, either LA team or back to Cleveland, but I just think staying in Miami makes way too much sense.

Lol....the team that just made it's 4th straight trip to the finals and won two titles in the last 4 years is going nowhere? Come on guys!

I don't think he goes to the bulls, rose is a game away from being out for another year and Lebron has made it clear it's win a Championship or bust. Just don't see him making a commitment to the Bulls just yet when Rose has been inactive for so long. I think the Heat are in a much better position than the Bulls.

If he goes anywhere this year it will be to the clippers in a trade for Blake Griffin. He would be in the big market, warm weather , with a contending roster already in place , and a championship caliber coach.

CP3 is a legit # 2 go to guy , much better than Wade at this point . You have a rim protector in Jordan, something he never had with Bosh playing center. You have shooters with Reddick , cp3 , dudley. Bench scoring with Collison and crawford.

Mark it down, if he goes anywhere it will be the clippers in a trade for Blake

well this thread title is a little misleading.

This might be the only time we've ever agreed about something concerning LeBron.

I just don't see LeBron changing teams again, there is no way he is going to risk his hope to be called the greatest if his resume shows he jumped multiple teams to win his chips. The players that usually win after being on multiple teams are guys like Ray Allen, not the best player. If LeBron does move again it will only be to Cleveland and he'd probably get a slight pass on ship to chip jumping. If Shaq won with most of the teams he went to, sure he'd still be called a great but even if he won all those rings (which would have been more than MJ), the going from team to team to acquire them, would be a huge asterisk. Now, since he didn't win with all of them, I'm sure in the future not many people will never recall him being on all those other teams (except for his fans and people who watched during his time).

If anyone, it will be Bosh. Wade and James will take less money and stay. Wade to be with one team for his career and James because of the stuff I mentioned.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Who wants to play in Jordan's long shadow?  I doubt he has it in him to do so.   He is already compared to Jordan ad nauseum and oft lacking.  Why would he expose himself to more scrunity in that regard, surely he is not that dumb.

Agreed. Why would Lebron leave the Heat only to go to a team that isn't in a position to compete for a title. As we've seen Lebron can't win a championship single handed in this league and he knows that now more then ever. I don't think Lebron's the type to make change just for the sake of change. Winning seems to be the only thing that matters to him, so if the Heat can't put him in the position to win a Championship but another team can he will most likely be gone in my opinion.

On another note does he want to play in the stacked west or does that have no effect on his decision?

He likes Doc too.  Who wouldn't after Spoelstra?

Yeah, the more you think about it, I guess Lebron to the Clippers makes sense.

Also, what about the Lakers?

Couldn't the Lakers afford 2 max contracts this summer? (Melo and Lebron.)

There is no chance Lebron goes to Chicago to play in Jordan's shadow. You think the criticism he gets is bad now. Imagine what it would be like for him to be in a Bulls uniform and not come close to what they saw with MJ. No chance.

I think the reason why Lebron won't go to Chicago goes deeper than that. You look at that team, Thibs is, despite his success, likely on the way out to go captain another team to defensive glory and ugly offensive ball. If reports are to be believed, its gotten pretty toxic between him and ownership.

Rose, he's a whole 'nother bag of 'who knows whats going on there'. If he regained 80% of his previous form, he'd be a modern miracle. And his contract...UNTRADABLE.

Lebron isn't going to chicago, but not because he's scared of MJ's shadow. Not that its not a concern, but the actual basketball of it all probably outweighs that. Really if you're going to chicago you're going because Joakim Noah is criminally underrated as one of the top 2 or 3 centers in the NBA, Taj Gibson is 'pretty good', and Jimmy Butler looks like he's a decent player. You're not going because they're a piece away from contending. Really, they're a piece away from falling apart completely.
