I've seen multiple reports that he might opt out of his 19million$ deal. Would he be that willing to get out of Sacramento?

I mean, he's got all the money he'll ever need (hopefully).  If he doesn't want to stay in Sacramento, why should he?

I see him going to Washington if they try to make a free agency splash.  It just feels like something they would do.

If he opts out, I think one likely scenario is that he locks up a longer deal for less money with Sacramento.

He's not going to leave $19 mil on the table.  Probably $5-7 mil.  (And I've never been there, but that's somewhat by choice.)

Probably wants to win.

He's shown he can be an efficient second fiddle. He goes to a team with a legit first option, he'll give that team another scoring punch.

And if it's not for $19 million, that could be great.

$65-70 million for 4 years is what I'm expecting Rudy Gay to get.

He's friends with Rondo, and watching those two on the break, in addition to Smart or whoever we select, would be a lot of fun.  I think he'd make a nice addition in place of Jeff Green, although I'd feel bad about sending Jeff to basketball's purgatory and I doubt we could work out a sign and trade for those two players, and maybe more from our side.  Gay has a nice game, has hit a bunch of big shots, and it would be fun seeing another UCONN guy on the Celtics, but that's just me.  It also depends on who we draft.  I'm not sure that he'd really have a place on this team if we draft someone like TJ Warren, especially because we're not a contender.
