I think that's his comp for a successful NBA career. I can see Anderson becoming a better scorer than Diaw, and maybe less of a defender but in terms of a style model I think Diaw is how he'll end up playing.
The key with Anderson will be is he quick enough. He's probably really slow for a guard, and even for a SF, but I'm optimistic in that hybrid point forward PF/SF roll that some teams utilize he will have both the physical and basketball skills to eventually excel there.
For him I think team fit will be really important. An NBA team will have to figure out how to play him to maximize what he's good at while compensating for his weakness, but I think he has so much ability to he's likely to eventually find a niche in the NBA.
Kyle Anderson is a different kind of project. The most common are the guys that are uber athletes who we are all hoping can just get a bit better at playing basketball to provide value on the court. Kyle Anderson is already good at basketball. He needs to find a way to make/utilize his athleticism to be good enough to justify keeping him on he court to do the things he's good at.
