Celts/Magic/76ers/Wolves - Who says no?

Wolves get - Aaron afflalo, Thad Young, Jeff Green, and pick 12
Magic get - Bogans (instant expiring), Sullinger, and pick 10
76ers get - Gerald Wallace and pick 6
Celtics get - Kevin Love, Corey Brewer, and Kevin Martin

Minnesota wants to compete for the playoffs after a ten year drought. They don't want to rebuild. A lineup of Rubio/Afflalo/Green/Young/Pek can compete for a playoff spot in the West Denver Nuggets style. They also add another lottery pick and dump Kevin Martin's contract.

Magic get instant cap relief. They get their PF of the future on a rookie deal. They also move up a couple spots in the lottery.

76ers get one of the top PF prospects in the draft in Vonleh, Randle, or Gordon. They add this to the core of MCW, Noel, and the number 3 pick. That 4 man core will be young, explosive, and cheap. They become OKC East. All at the expense of swapping Young for Wallace. Both Young and Wallace are paid similarly for the same amount of time. Young doesn't appear to be part of the future.

Boston gets Love.

Wallace only has two more years on his contract and the Sixers have a minimum salary they need to reach.

The #6 to take on Wallace is WAY too much. I don't think Thad Young has all that much value - think Jeff Green. The #6 should go to Minny and the #12 should go to Philly.

Hmmm...very interesting idea!

The only team which may say no is the Sixers, HOWEVER if you sweetned the pot a little, maybe they say yes.

If I can make a minor revision, instead of sending Sully to Orlando, send him to Philly.

Not sure if that works money wise but perhaps Philly would then be more inclined to do this

Also, I think Minny may also need a bit more as well.

If I may, how about this

I like that idea, but I think the pot needs to be sweetened all around (except for the C's). I'd add:

To Wolves: 2015 Clips pick via BOS
To Magic: 2015 76ers pick via BOS
To 76ers: pick 17 via BOS
To C's: picks 32 & 47 via PHI

Then I think everybody goes for it. We give up more picks, but I think that might be necessary. We probably find some value at 32 & 47 to compensate a bit. And lord knows Philly doesn't need five 2nd rounders, especially if we give them another 1st at #17.

I don't really know why people think a rebuilding team with plenty of cap room like the 76ers wouldn't take on Gerald Wallace's deal.
I'd say that the Sixers might need to take back Martin (instead of us) because we are giving up Green. We'd need to throw in a future pick of some kind as incentive.

The Wolves would also need to move some players and that's hard because they only have one or two non-guaranteed contracts, so they've got to move players out to get players back in.

I think that might be too many picks to give up considering we are taking back Martin and Brewer. (I know we're moving Wallace but Philly's compensation is already the move up to #6).

That's an idea. But theres a drop in tier talent from 6 to 10. Drafts are always measured in tiers.

Tier 1: embiid wiggins Parker and maybe exum
Tier 2: def exum if not tier 1, Vonleh, randle, smart, Gordon
Tier 3: McDermott, etc...

To get from tier 3 to tier 2 takes more work then just taking an expiring. Gotta take Wallace to move from tier 3 to 2. For Philly young isn't part of the future anyways and his contract is basically identical to Wallace's. Years and $ basically identical. Only difference is the name.

You're effectively suggesting that Philly trades the 10th pick and Thad Young for Gerald Wallace and the 12th pick.
