24 years old, the "Latvian Rocket" Interesting. Ainge is finding some forgotten prospects lately with Faverani and now Bertrans.

i don't think he was drafted before.

The way he plays kind of reminds me of the way Ginobelli does. But shorter version

Since he's 24, I'm betting that he put his name in the draft years ago just to get it over with.  I think it took Danny a couple years too long to recognize Europe as a place for cheap bench talent, but I'm glad he's looking there now.

Looked like a pretty decent prospect a few years ago. 6-10, dead-eye shooter and a smart player to boot. Looked a very good role player level prospect. I thought the Spurs drafted him a few years ago though.

Edit: Yeah, San Antonio took him in 2011 (pick #42) as part of the George Hill trade.

I think he's a 2nd rounder of the Spurs two years ago. Has had some ups and downs

Ah nevermind, it's a different player.

Davis Bertrans = 6-10 combo forward taken by Spurs in 2011
Dairis Bertrans = 6-4 guard

I know nothing about this player then.

here is some more info on him from draftexpress:

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Dairis-Bertans-1383/stats/

he seems to have developed his 3 pt shooting in the past few years, averaging around 37%. in the summer league we will see what he has. at least he could replace babb....i hope.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

You got the wrong guy. Or that's his brother bc they really do look alike

The prospect the celtics are inviting is a 6'4 guard

He looks winded all the time when going for a layup, little slow, kind of like a poor mans DWill on the decline.
