after rewatching the clip above i think the Wolves trade Pekovic first. His post game has really come along. He has a left hand hook shot now. Dieng is going to be a very good center in the nba.

Sounds like a good plan if your goal is to lose some more for Okafor.

your joking right?  So what Dieng, Sullinger, KO did (not consistently) though is considered a fluke?

This is just awful...

are you projecting how these guys will do in the nba/next season or since they are not a star now nor have the hype that Wiggins do, you automatically think they will stink??

Dieng again did 13 plus rebounds several games in a row late last season. Blocking detering shots left and right. He couldnt' do it for the whole year bc Pek was starting and he didn't get much time. But what if he can?  We get a steal

He is a good player that has was a big factor as to why Louisville won the Ncaa tourney a few seasons ago.

Yeah and Avery Bradley once played a streak of 15 good games in a row. Look what that did to him.

Team full of role players. I'm not looking forward to multiple years of 1st and 2nd round exits.

Rondo is going nowhere, we need him to land an all-star like Love, Melo or LaMarcus Alridge.

sure role players can pull in 21 rebounds (even one game in a season) or score 20 points three games in a row.

How do you know Smart will be a role player??

Your entitled to your opinion but seriously not sure how your burying most of these players to be role players when they haven't had a chance to show their stuff (and we have seen glimpse of what they are capable of)

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Anybody think the lineup above does not make the playoffs for the 2015-2016 season?

I would rather take my chances on a Rondo/Love combo.

I would rather take my chances with the current lineup plus whoever we pick 6th compare to that proposed lineup.

Trading an established star for project players is a move going backward. Especially when we have assets to acquire another established star.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Are you being sarcastic? Dieng only came out at the late half of the season, there's no telling what he can be next season. I like Smart, but there is a chance that he will be a role player. Why risk assets on them when you can focus on the finished product like Rondo?

I meant in terms of making the playoffs that I'd rather take a chance on Rondo/Love combo than unproven proven role players. I think I misread his post.

be honest this is the same thing you said about Rondo when he first came into the league.  And then what happened after?

You can 't say all rookies or younger prospect are in line to become role or mediocre players. Most are not consistent and are adj to the nba pace

There are holes with the trade, but your desired result is the biggest problem. Your strategy is to blow up the team and you think that's a step forward. Other people think it's a step backwards. I'd personally characterize your ideas here and elsewhere, as the nuclear option:

- Avoid a 2nd star,
- Get rid of your only star,
- Add 3 rookies to a young team, (one who is a like or hate him prospect in Gordon, whom you've gone overboard on promoting)
- Have the team led by a rookie PG, and
- Have that team coached by a guy with 1 year of NBA experience.

Likely one the very worst teams in the NBA in my opinion but you see it in the playoffs. That's a very big disconnect in perceptions. From what Danny and Wyc have said, I don't think this is a direction they are even contemplating.

I've never said that they are in line to be a role player, I'm just saying they have a chance to be one or they be out of the league. Dieng has a limited ceiling due to his age and Smart may be more of a tweener than a combo guard. Rondo right now is an All Star and you don't trade All Star players for player who may be riding a hot streak and a pick that's not even in the top ten.
