Spurs got it done this year... came out with a vengeance and a chip on it's shoulders and Kawhi Leonerd, very very well deserved NBA Finals MVP. I think this also is a passing of the torch from Duncan to Leonerd...special moment

How much does this 5th Championship enhance Tim Duncan's legacy?

Does it push him above Moses Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaquille O'Neal? The best center in league history after Russell, Wilt and Kareem?

Best overall player since Jordan? Ahead of Shaq? Ahead of LeBron (at least for now)?
its not the fact that its 5th, but its this one is against lebron in his prime. it gives duncan a nice bump.

Great point.

I find the losing team hugging it out with the winning team to be almost disgusting.  I'd almost rather go out Andrew Bynum style.

That's not right. you give it your all and hate them through the series, but once it's over a true sportsman offers his honest congrats to the opponent. Props to Lebron and the Heat players for doing it right.

Whatever,  Take that crap elsewhere.  Cheat are the epitomy of poor sportsmanship.  They got their butts whooped, it's called embarassment, not sportsmanship
I hope the Celtics never act like that. That's Piston basketball. Want nothing to do with that.
Peace through Tyranny

Thank you San Antonio.   For playing unselfish, inspiring basketball.  For putting an end to the Heat's reign.   Every bit deserving of the title.

Yeah he's now clearly the best player in the league since Jordan. Has been for a while in truth but ring counters can't complain about him not matching Kobe/Shaq.

As great as Duncan is I'm not sure this championship moves the needle much of all time greats.  This championship was much more about TEAM play and beautiful ball movement than 1 or 2 players carrying a team on his back.  With that said Duncan sure is one if the greatest PF/C to ever play.
