I find the losing team hugging it out with the winning team to be almost disgusting.  I'd almost rather go out Andrew Bynum style.

That's not right. you give it your all and hate them through the series, but once it's over a true sportsman offers his honest congrats to the opponent. Props to Lebron and the Heat players for doing it right.

shameful direction on this telecast.  focussing more on Bron's losing than SA celebrating.  pitiful
Agreed. That was trash. The story here isn't Miami losing. Its the much better TEAM winning - the San Antonio Spurs

It's like the moment Harry killed Voldemort. A dark veil has been lifted off the NBA!

LeBron is such a terrific player and he had a strong series.  Not his fault the Heat lost.  But he should never be mentioned alongside the truly great competitors.  He's a quitter.  Doesn't have the heart like Jordan or Bird.  It's what separates the greats from the GOATs.

Yep

When his team is rolling, Lebron is awesome.  When his team is struggling and facing adversity, he is unspectacular and at time appears to quit.  It's the opposite of what you see from other all time greats.

gotta give some credit to Lebron, he went out there and congratulated the Spurs like he should

I liked how he did it before the game was over.   No respect for the game at large.

The espn 3 stream had some cool clips during the break. Pop talking to Russell, he really seemed like he enjoyed being in the presence of Russ. And then the clip of Pop sitting on the bench. Cool stuff

So what's the excuse for Lebron now?  ;D

He was teary eyed.

I like Silver's words "you showed how beautiful this game is".  can only hope this is the beginning of a transition away from the NBA's celebration of the individual back to the celebration of the team.

Exactly. I'm glad he publicly recognized it.

The officiating in these playoffs appeared to be more fair than previous seasons... at least by my eye.
