Its quite pitiful that a group of players mostly from the last decade is the biggest threat to LeBron, i really think it makes a statement about the level of play of the league in general that LeBron's greatness is dependent on the lack of challenge the rest of the league puts up.

This just might be the weakest competition in NBA history so its utterly refreshing to see a old team oriented basketball team dominate in this fashion. you can talk all you want about how good the Heat should be but when the chips are down, the Heat isnt actualy playing good halfcourt basketball without Ray Allen on the floor and he's getting too old to do it for 30 minutes a game.

Please end this series in San Antonio.

Oh and Erik Spolstra is really being exposed as a coach this series, he's moddeled straight after Jackson.. more of a manager of ego's and mental state than an actual NBA coach.
"Leadership is diving for a loose ball, getting the crowd involved, getting other players involved. It`s being able to take it as well as dish it out. That`s the only way you`re going to get respect from the players"

- Larry Bird

loved seeing the Spurs take it to the Heat right from the beginning and keep on pressing their advantage.  agonized over those blown FTs and turnovers in game 2 -- would have been a sweet sweep of the unjustly-privileged.

have to agree with what others have noticed -- games where the Heat aren't getting their usual barrage of garbage calls are killing them.  I'm one of the many that have said that without the help of the officials, the Heat aren't nearly as good as they think.  It just seems so apparent that they've factored in the favorable officiating into their game plan and when it's not there, they struggle.

The Spurs are playing so well that I keep forgetting to laugh at Miami getting bulldozed.  Instead I'm just dropping my jaw at gorgeous play after gorgeous play.  Their role players are all contributing - I can't think of one guy who's been a negative for them.  And their offense is getting all the credit, but they held Miami to 36 points in the first half too.

They know they should've won last year and they seem determined to just stomp on Miami til last-second heroics are impossible.   Absolutely brilliant series so far.  Beautiful basketball.

Yup.  The way the Spurs are playing is the story here.  It's thrilling and inspirational.  I still think the Heat are dangerous, though.  The Spurs need to keep their focus.

I agree - Miami's not as bad as they've played the last 2 games, and San Antonio's probably not quite as good either.  But if there's one team that can keep its focus til the series is won, it's this year's Spurs.  I don't think they'll let up til they're hoisting the trophy.

heat aren't dominant if they're not getting all the calls. their best weapon is their hack/breakaway for dunks play. if the refs start calling a fair game, they don't get as many momentum plays, and their roleplayers get exposed.

true dat.

+1

The spurs winning will be a great story that will take even more heat off the league as it will greatly distract from the Clippers fiasco.

Very interesting point most of the challenge for lebron comes from aging players such as Duncan Pierce Kg Kobe.  NBA is weak

Yeah...Wade is just not able to do what he used to on court .  He looks old .with most of his moves.....

Wades shots in his legs are wearing off I guess.

Good drugs make you play better....ask DWill

Healthy young legs of Lenard killing the Heat

the Spurs are the older team, the Heat just suck.

Actually, the Heat are older.  The Spurs' Big 3 are older than the Heat's Big 3, but the Heat's role players are older than the Spurs' role players.

After the Spurs laid waste to the Thunder on their own home floor, WITHOUT Tony Parker, i knew something was up. I knew they meant business. Granted, i didn't think they would handle Miami this EASILY which is somewhat shocking especially if they close it out in 5. The Spurs are exploiting every flaw in the Heat defense. This is truly a clinic. The Heat have no chance if Leonard is basically playing James to a standstill. Who even thought that possible?

I think LeBron James will play like 2012 Game 6 & 7 combined for Game 5. Facing elimination, he ain't going down without a fight. Going to play out of his mind.

But it will be a blessing if the Spurs hoist the O'Brien trophy Sunday night, and Duncan hoisting his MVP trophy.  ;D

Excited for this. Elimination game. Hoping Spurs close it out. Looking forward to seeing how Miami responds too after going down 3-1. Should be a fantastic game.

Horrendous officiating.  Not surprised.
