I think there's a larger class of borderline stars below those guys. Maybe they make an all star team once or twice, or maybe they don't but they are still highly valued players, top 3 on their team. There are a lot of those guys, and we might get two of them.

This thread prompted me to look and there are numerous players that made like 3rd team All NBA but didn't make an all star game or that made like Rookie of the Year and was highly respected, but never made an all star game.

I could see that happening here.
