I see no immediate reason to unload his contract, and would rather the Celtics wait for his contract to cleanly come off the books without having to give up anything.

WE don't. unless we give up a lot (picks, young players, etc). I say keep him, he is a good player (but not at that price), and can be a valuable piece off the bench.

I think he is a good influence as a vet and I'm hopeful that his surgery gives him a mini-resurgence, while we use him as a 2nd-string three and ride out his contract.

I don't think any team is willing to take on Wallace's contract at this point. Unless we give up a lot of assets to the other team for incentive. I think the best we could realistically do without breaking our backs is probably trade him for another player with a bad contract but one year shorter.
