  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
1. The Wolves decide they want some pieces that can play for them right away in addition to future assets, so instead of trading Love for Sullinger, picks and our non guaranteed we make the following deal

Love and Jose Juan Barea (or Buddinger/Brewer/Mbah a Moute aka whoever they want to get rid of)
for Sullinger, Green, Bass, #6 this year, Clippers pick next year, future pick of ours.

As a sign of good faith Love picks up his 2015-2016 player option as soon as the trade happens.

2. We make two trades that amount to Joel Anthony, Chris Babb, Keith Bogans, Phil Pressey, Chris Johnson and our TPE for Asik and Lin

3. We offer Avery Bradley the QO and he signs it so he can become an unrestricted free agent next year.

4. Trade Gerald Wallace plus the Philly pick for Brendan Haywood.

Final Roster
Rondo/Barea
Bradley/Lin/vet Min guy
TJ Warren (17th pick)/Vet Min guy
Kevin Love/Kelly Olynyk
Omer Asik/Vitor Faverani/Brendan Haywood

Now this roster isn't great but I think it puts us in the top 6 in the East, but the real fun would begin next year (2015-2016). That year we would have 4 players under contract for around $31 MM (not including cap holds). Two of which are non guaranteed deals totaling around 10.2 MM. We could then bring back Rondo and add Marc Gasol to add along with Olynyk, and Warren picks and ring chasers. in 2015-2016 we compete for a title.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

gotta love celticsblog before a big trade!   best fan base in all of sports right here.

Here's my predicted 14'-15' eight man rotation.  I'm bad at math, but get the sense Danny could swing it.

Rondo
K Martin
P Pierce
K Love
O Asik

Bradley, Green, Olynyk

TP to Lucky for keeping it civil while trying to explain the salary cap to someone who took issue with being wrong.  Far more patient than 99% of the posters here would have been.

Agreed.

I would like to see some real sourcing for the expert opinions, too.

I'm saying Lucky was civil.  your tone has been confrontational -- such as your response to me.  You might think your tone is just fine, I'm just saying that's not how you're coming across.  most posters would take issue with your tone, particularly by the second response.  Lucky just kept it civil which is a rarity after that much back and forth  with someone adamant that they were completely right.   I thought it was noteworthy, made mention of it and gave him a TP for it.

We'll I don't appreciate you saying I was wrong when I wasn't. I knew what I was doing and you will see that in the back and fourth.

NBA league cap 2014-15: 63.2 million

Then don't get mad when I assume that it's baseless.

I didn't say you were wrong, just that you were adamant that you weren't and you weren't coming across as civil about it.  feel free to reread what I posted.

As for what you were doing, you're certainly positive you know what you're doing but it doesn't come across very clearly in your posts.  Lucky provided easier-to-follow posts.

just to be clear, you're still coming across as pretty hostile in your posts.

can't tell if you're trying to be coy/funny on the response but saying you have access to experts without saying who they are doesn't help your credibility on this issue.
