If Asik is aquired using exception and Love is aquired with the Minnesota special package (young player, expirings, picks) what is left for a 3rd move?

Can Humphries be signed for 1 or 2 years at 9 mil per and traded to Orlando along with pick 17 or a future pick for Afflalo and Maxiell?

Or signed for 13 mil for one year and traded for Afflalo and Jameer Nelson?  Then flip Nelson for Jerebko/Will By um or a PF from Sacramento?

Asik
Love
Green
Afflalo
Rondo
---------
Olynyk
Wallace
Bradley

I think the third move is dealing Jeff Green and/or Gerald Wallace for players in the last year of their deal so they have cap space after the season to try and get DeAndre Jordan or Marc Gasol.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think Kevin Martin would be an obvious target, if only because he's probably easier to acquire than a lot of other guys.

It's hard to say because there are so many options.  You could sign-n-trade for Melo or just trade Green and Wallace+a first to other teams to make the cap room to sign Melo outright.  You could try and swap Rondo for Westbrook.  Maybe you send a pick and expiring contracts to GSW for Harrison Barnes.  Go after Lance Stephenson?  Does Minny also want to unload Kevin Martin?

The next move is probably re-signing Bradley, followed by using the MLE to fortify the bench.

That team would be a classic definition of mediocrity.

Offer 30 percent of our assets through 2018 for Love, 60 percent for Durant, keep our 2018 Nets pick, fill in other needs with free agency such as Okafor/Gortat this offseason, and call it day. Lol I'm dreaming I know.

Yeah, I think it's Kevin Martin included with Love in any deal between the Celtics and Timberwolves.

I agree with the OP except I have Wallace in the Love trade, Bradley and a future first S and T for Afflalo, Lin coming over with Asik and signing Pierce to an MLE deal.

Rondo/Lin
Afflalo/#17
Green/Pierce
Love/Bass
Asik/KO

Trade for Love and Martin
Trade for Asik and Lin.

Rondo, Lin
Martin, Bradley
Green, Wallace
Love,  Oly
Asik. Mle

This seems like a pretty easy scenario. Sota may want to shed martins salary in the love deal. Houston wants to shed both Asik and lee to go after melo.
We would essentially acquire upgrades  at 5,4, 2 and back up point for sully, 3-4 picks, the TE and contracts we're looking to trade anyway.
The beauty of this is Love and Martin make green the third option and Lin keeps Bradley at the 2.
Asik and Lin expiring gives us options next offseason

Green, Wallace, and pick(s) for Rudy Gay or Danilo Gallinari (plus Wilson Chandler)

Either one of them a good enough upgrade over Green?

I agree with both of those moves getting done. I like keeping Bradley as a 3rd guard and I really want to use the MLE on a G/F defender that can hit the corner 3.  PJ Tucker or Francisco Garcia?

Can we get Melo this year if he opts out?

Rondo/Bradley/Melo/Love/Asik??

We don't have the cap space to sign him unless he takes a huge pay cut.

Does any one know what the max he could sign for if he ops out? That could make a difference one if it's possible to make a move for him.
