Reports r swirling that Love is in Boston... I know that doesnt mean any deal is in place but it certainly isnt a bad indication towards anything so lets say we do get Love, what do we do afterwards... Do we go for another big name via trade or FA or do we use the remaining cap space to fill out the roster with quality role players (ex: resigning Hump and Bradley)? Also should we be targeting a center like Asik or Sanders or go after a scorer such as Stephenson or Hayward to provide some scoring on the wing instead of having to rely entirely on Kevin Love? What do u think?

We make him change his number, first and foremost.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Go hard after Lance Stephenson or Paul George! Indy can't sign them both. :P

Well to me we would need a defensive big still (Asik or Sanders maybe) and a wing scorer.  It also depends on what we would have to give up...  If we keep the #17 pick we may be able to get the wing player then..

I'd say Stephenson.

As I've commented in another thread - we could use his EDGE.

Coach Stevens has already proven he can work with - and change - supposed knuckleheads (see Jordan Crawford).

At the end of the day, JC was respected in BOS and seemed to find his way.

Lance Stephenson - if Danny went that route - would have no issues in BOS, and we'd have that EDGE player we need.

After Stephenson, get Asik.

But we gotta have Love 1st...that is the 1st shoe we need to drop....all other stuff falls in place after Love.

No he's not KG....this won't be  summer of 2007 - but KLove is a top 10 player AND YOUNG...

If minny agree to give us Love & Martin for Sully, Humph, Anthony, Bogans, Bass, CJ, Bayless, #17 & 2015 picks. Draft Aaron Gordon with #6 then sign Jordan Crawford and/or Evan Turner.

Lol no way Minny picks up the phone call from Danny Ainge if the #6 isnt included...

1. They wouldn't.
2. We can't trade Humphries and Bayless currently.

Really think that if Love winds up here, Rondo is the only certainty, though I think it strengthens the possibility that Danny tries to keep Bradley here.  The rest of the roster I frankly don't care about.  You build the team around that group.

To me this is the biggest problem with acquiring Love right now. Having two tremendous needs even after you deal for him is not a great situation to be in, especially when those positions (center and scoring wing) are some of the hardest to fill in the NBA currently.

When we dealt for Ray Allen and Garnett the remaining players fit in like a glove, with Rondo, Pierce, and Perkins manning the 1, 3, and 5. Now we would really only have Rondo remaining and possibly Jeff Green. Not exactly a title contender, is it?

That's why if the price is too high for Love I say forget it. We have to have assets left over to make at least one other big move, and fill the other need with some savvy free agent signing. I'm not expecting any help through the draft because any picks we might have left over are going to be too high for us to get an immediate impact guy.

while I do LOVE the idea of pursuing lance stephenson, theres no possiblity that we can contend without a center let alone a defensive minded center, for the past 5 years KG has ANCHORED THE PAINT AND ALL THINGS CELTICS DEFENSE RELATED, the first move is getting a center
