TP for the news.
Maybe there is a god.

Nope, no god, but there is a God.  ;)
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Am I the only one who hopes it rains at Fenway tomorrow, some spills beer all over him and steals his wallet?
you don't want us to get a Top 10 player?

I want them to spend their resources upgrading positions of need rather then upgrading position they are already good at.

players of his caliber don't just fall out of trees into your lap especially when you have the assets to get him, you gotta try and get him
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

Can't wait for Love to be throwing outlet passes like these . We will be a much better fast break team for this reason alone . Best rebounder and outlet passer in the game. Tommy is going to love Love.

Having four players at one position that are all good backups doesn't exactly equate to being all set at that position.

If you are looking forward to that you should get Rondo off the team with his 'rebound hounding ball movement killing pounding the ball' offense. And don't tell me you will have Rondo on the break to catch the outlet from Love because I don't think I have ever seen a worse 'layup missing or layup giving up for much lower percent jumper for assist' than Rondo. I mean the guy would literally give up a lay up at the rim to kick the ball out for a three point attempt so he can get an assist.

So with Love in you have to sell him on Rondo out.

You'll have Rondo on the break to catch the outlet from Love. In every game, almost every time a Celts big gets the ball Rondo's calling for an outlet pass to start the break. With Love he'd have a player who can actually get him the ball.

Chicago should just learn that they will not win another championship unless another Michael Jordan is on their team.

Cleveland...nobody wants to live in that hole, just ask LeBron, Irving, and their NFL and MLB franchises. GSW...you get a new coach who has no idea where to start and could only take them so far. Lakers...they don't have anything to offer, and their leader is a selfish one that likes to blame his team and coaches.

Boston is the place to welcome him!

Love is a big upgrade over Sully and KO. I really don't like how Sully only can one hand rebounds in traffic, it shows no lift at all. That will become a problem in the future.

We can use the rest of the assets to upgrade other positions. 9 picks in 4 years. We can't sign all of those guys. Thats almost a full team. And thats just the first rounders!

Well, for one I think Olynyk is going to be more then just a back up.  But I did say Love would be an upgrade.  I just think there are better places to use the assets.

I kind of wonder if we are able to land Love, if Jeff Green might be the one with the most to gain (assuming he doesn't get moved in that trade).  Not having to be the primary scorer, or focus of the defense might be the best way to use green's talents.  I could see Jeff running the floor catching those outlet passes and finishing at the rim.  Green's length and decent D skills might be a help to love on the def side as well.

I doubt it, both in terms of Olynyk being more than a decent backup and there being better places to use the assets. Olynyk's got a nice jumpshot for a guy his size, so he'll be useful as a floor-spacer, but he's a bad defender, doesn't have fantastic post moves, isn't a great rebounder, and isn't much younger than Love to begin with. Olynyk's decent. He's not good enough that you pass on a top-20 player because he plays the same position.

As far as there being better places to use the assets - where? Unless you think Carmelo could be had in a trade, I don't really see another first option being available at any position right now.
