interesting. what are the chances he's checking out the town to see where he wants sign as a FA after next season?  ;)

If we are getting him, it's on draft night. He'd make more money playing for a year and then resigning than he would playing an other year in Minni. He could also do a player option and play one more year, than sign and extension for more money.

He also said he wanted out before July 1st.

I don't think he's going to visit GS, he lives in the area, don't think he's going to check out Cleveland, franchise is crap, If he visits Chicago I'd be more worried.

But Boston still can give the best package for a rebuilding team.

i'm pretty dang hyped right now! i'm wondering if he is in town because there's a chance he signs an extension upon arrival. maybe there's more in the deal for Minn. if he does?

exactly, no amount of players they will get in return for Love will make them a contender or a playoff team in the west for that matter. picks and sully are their best option.

but yeah if he starts going on a tour, visiting other candidates then i'd be a little concerned.

interesting/good news. Im sure he will love it. I still think Boston between their war-chest of picks and young players has the best (most realistic) trade package for love.

Not to mention if you want to get in the playoffs and compete going to the weak eastern conference makes the most sense.

Wow, this is exciting.

If I had known he was at Greatest Sports Bar last night, I would've pulled a Dan Aykroyd/Daniel Stern and kept buying him drinks until he agreed to come to Boston.

I was just over at the SBNation Bulls board and reading some of the posters there concerning Love, Melo.

they seem to think their expiring contracts will be this big attraction for a trade partner. maybe for the knicks, i'll give 'em that. but not for Minn. it's great for a team that can get free agents like NY to go there but Minn. isn't getting some big name FA to go there.

I'd rather have Pekovic. He wouldn't cost much more than the 17th pick, and we wouldn't have to worry about him bolting in a year, and he is locked up long term at 12 million per.

He was extremely efficient as a low post scorer last year and probably is as good as Brook Lopez, but Pek didn't get nearly enough shots playing next to Love.

You can have Pek, the rest of us will take Love.

Now this is getting somewhat interesting. I wonder if the Nets would buy KG out...
