I've always like the Clippers name and color scheme, but make a bold change like this would be pretty interesting.  Would definitely help get them out from under the Lakers' shadow.

Simmons talked a bunch about it on his podcast.  They think the team name should change to Hollywood Stars or Hollywood Knights...

What's wrong with just keeping the name? If there's a bad tradition attached to the name, just create a new tradition by being more successful. I always prefer teams to keep their original names to preserve continuity. It takes awhile to get used to a new name or team. Also, I have a sneaking suspicion one of the main reasons teams change their name is to sell more merchandise.

It's not like the team is called the LA Sterlings.

Quakers and have the Oatsguy be the mascot.   Double meaning with earthquakes.   Gosh, do I hate all of LA, the Lakers have poisoned me.
