I love Lance Stephenson.

I love his stuff. His agitator mentality, his intensity, the way he interacts with the crowd... I'd love to have him as our starting 2. However, he'd need to have the right pieces around him to keep him from getting out of control. Do we have those pieces now? Can Stevens handle Lance?

Danny's history is that he gets rid of talented knuckleheads.  So we'll never find out.

He does seem to have the edge that we all wish Jeff Green had. Whether or not he would fit in with this current Cs squad is another story, but you have to appreciate his intensity on the court.

He got a LOL from me for his antics with "BlowGate":



Regardless of whether or not it was in good taste or not, you have to respect the fact that SOMEONE on the Pacers is trying to do something to get under MIA's skin...

Nearly every successful team has had an "Edge" player...we had Perk, Lakers had Metta....just someone willing to push buttons.

Granted, those buttons were sometimes the WRONG ones to push, but still.... ;D

Yeah I wouldn't mind Lance Stephenson in Green if that's in Danny's plan.

That is another thing I like about Stephenson. He's become a nemesis to the Heat. He'd fit right in here in Boston.

How much have his antics reminded people of KG?

To me it's almost identical to the KG-  Howard, Blatche, Melo (weird KG doesn't just pick on white people or small people or only Euros) feuds.

From a purely antics,  intensity talking crap perspective

I doubt that Indy gives him up for cheap, though...Larry has to recognize how valuable this guy is.

Every team that wants to go far needs an Edge player.

Agreed, but in this scenario, Celts would have Stephenson at the 2 and then acquire another PG.

For Indy, they finally get a legit PG and can move Hill over to the 2.

Personally, I don't envision any other PG successfully running the Celtics. If Rondo goes, the rebuild will take much longer. Danny would be fired if he made a Rondo for Stephenson swap.

I really like what this guy is doing.  Outside of David West, he's been the only consistent player on the team and I like the fact that he's thinking outside of the box as far as all his antics.  It might pay off.

He'd fit in great as a Celtic because we are a team of character and he has that in loads but only as a backup to Rondo, not in place of Rondo.
