If Love doesn't end up on the Celts, could LMA be a legit possibility?

Like with Love in Minny, I am not so sure Aldridge stays in Portland.

Could a package including Sully and some of our picks land Aldridge from Portland?

Only speaking from speculation, but I'm guessing that LA is content in POR right now....he's always been on my list of players I thought were "Boston" material.

He reminds me of a young Chief, TBH.

But he has a young and dynamic PG and perhaps their best C in a few years...they are relatively young, and all they really need to do is shore up that bench and they could go farther than last year.

He is a long shot, IMO.

Not likely during the off-season.  The scenario for trading for him probably involves him becoming unhappy in Portland, leading to a mid-season deal where the Celtics are willing to give up multiple firsts with no guarantee that he will re-sign in the summer of 2015.

Maybe last off-season. I don't see how it's possible now with an emerging team that just made it to the playoffs.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

You're not sure Aldridge would stay with an up and coming Blazers team that reached the semifinals and would rather go to a rebuilding Celtics team?  What?

How about we throw in Green for Batum or make that a separate deal if we couldn't snag Aldridge

How about they throw in Lillard for Pressey while they're at it.

And we dump Gerald Wallace for a first round draft pick plus Joel Freeland and scrub contracts

Aldridge is a king in Portland right now, even though they got lambasted by the Spurs.

Sorry man, but LA is staying in Portland. He wanted them to get better or be traded and they got better. I think they are one solid piece away from being a contender, plus they have a very strong bench.

I wouldn't mind taking a flyer and trading for Meyers Leonard. I think he could be better in a system that fosters development, and I don't think the Blazers are too high on him right now.

No way Aldridge is leaving Portland right now. He is in a great situation there, getting to the second round with a talented young team. It's sad to say, but for him moving to the Celtics will only feel like a step back.

Don't want him, it'll render the "Beat L. A.!" chant useless.

if we had a legit shot at Aldridge i'd be more than willing to throw some of these outrageous trade scenarios at Portland that some are willing to throw at Minny for Love.

I heart Aldridge!
