The bucks would not do that.

RR, Green, Bass and even #17 for #2 and Sanders? :p that way, they can have salary cap flexibility and be rid of the malcontent that is Sanders.
This makes more sense.  I like it.

Not sure I like it but leaves us with a (hypothetical) line up of...

Smart (@6)/Pressey
Bradley/Johnson
Parker(@2)
Sully/KO
Sanders/Faverani

That's a young team stuck in mediocre development for at least 4 years.
not a fan of this deal either.  that line-up needs a lot of help to even sniff the playoffs in 3-4 years.  would be playing "pray for a lottery win" for another 3-4 years at least

That team has a lot of potentially very good players.  Nobody can say for certain that Parker or Smart won't be allstar caliber in a couple years.  Nobody really knows KO, Sully, or Sanders' ceilings either.

I like it, but only if we also swap Sully for Anthony Davis.  I don't want to have to hope Embiid falls to 2 to get our rim protector.

I don't think Milwaukee would do this, either.

Rondo and Bass are expiring contracts, so Milwaukee in essence deals their no 2 pick and starting center for Jeff Green and the no 17 pick. Can't see them biting on that one.

I think it would be a challenge to get a pick in the 5-10 range for Rondo.

Giannis + #2 is just cray cray.

I guess if we did Sully instead of Bass would that make a difference....

The closest I could see Milwaukee going on this one is Sanders and the no 2 pick for Sully, Green and the no 6 pick.

There needs to be a Celticsblog trade idea hall of shame.

And this trade is a first-ballot hall of shamer.

And i was afraid cb would think we are giving too much...lol

I do not think its too challenging to get the #8 for rondo. Sac already said it does not mind traded with no assurance. And they have wanted rondo in the past

it's one thing not having assurances, it's another thing having the player outright declare to your GM that he would not re-sign with your team if you trade for him

Uh they supposedly said they would trade the #8 for KEVIN LOVE without assurance.  Big difference.  Kevin Love >>>> Rondo.  Supposedly last season Boston had discussions about trading Rondo for Ben McLemore, but Rondo made it known he wouldn't resign in Sac.  Cross em off the list.  Not happening.

Again... it would be hard enough trading Rondo for a pick in the 5-10 range.  #2 + Giannis would be an insane overpay by the Bucks.  No way they'd do that.
