 I say we trade Rondo to sacramento for 8th pick and ben Mclemore. then trade our 6th pick and 17th pick to Cleveland for the 1 pick. Then Draft Embid  with number 1 pick and draft smart at 8.

We are not getting the #1 pick for 6 and 17. We won't even get #4 for 6 and 17. If we can't trade for Love or another superstar this summer though, we then have to seriously consider trading Rondo. Sactowns pick and Mclemore may not be the best value, but we would have to move Rondo before he walks next summer if we can't build with some vet stars around him.

Pick the best player available... explore trading Rondo... tank/develop and figure it out later.

We'll probably end up having a team with 4 PFs... Bass, Sully, Oly and Gordon.

Yeah I agree with this. Trade Rondo and tank again next year.

Hope Sullinger morphs into David West/Paul Millsap next year. and Olynyk becomes Dirk-lite.

I'm sure he has a gentle men's  agreement with DA .....not to do such things.......tanking is not acceptable

Not sure how a superstar will arrive in Boston...

I'm coming around to this view as well. We'll have another good draft pick of our own in what I think is supposed to be another good draft, and those BKN picks could become quite valuable. Who knows, maybe by this time next year Indy will have imploded completely and we will be able to trade for George. Not saying I think that's likely - I'm just saying you don't know, and patience is sometimes a virtue.

Not in favor of giving Rondo away though. If we can get a bona fide budding star I can see it, but otherwise I'd say hang on to him. As long as he has the right (i.e. wrong) kind of players surrounding him, he's not going to propel us into mediocrity all by himself. I think we learned that this year.

The big downside of course is suffering through another year of awful basketball and moves clearly intended to make us worse now (e.g., Courtney Lee). But I'd prefer to wait until we have a good chance at a top 10 player before starting to really cash in all of our chips.

No thanks. I'd rather return to being competitive this season rather than endure another losing season.

And after getting burnt again by the lottery, I can't believe anyone would want to tank again along with the slim CHANCE that another star player might be on the trade market next summer.

If what we did this year was 'tanking', and we want to do it again, we better get better at it because our last effort was a colossal failure.
