Will Miami Heat Resign there Players for Max Contracts?

sign bosh lebron wade battier beasley etc; for a max contract?
with those coming out from college, and some east team who gained playoffs experienced?

Ray Allen and Battier wouldn't fetch anything north of $5 mil per season. Lebron and maybe Wade are worth max contracts, but I don't think Bosh is

It's basically a given that Battier will retire at season's end. Chalmers will also likely be gone and I expect them to replace him with their 1st rd pick (Napier?).

Wade is a huge injury/longevity concern at the moment.  Max contract for 2 years.  Maybe 3.

i think mike miller is still better 3 point shooter than battier 2 or 3 points a game

rashard lewis is not really that good, even those douglas and some rookies
also someone said if napier was signed in exchange for chalmers, i could see norris cole as a starting pg for a while

LeBron's the only one I think will get a max.  Wade's obviously not worth one and Bosh hasn't proven to me this season that he's worth the max.  In fact, if they lose in the Finals (which I think is going to happen, since I see them making it past the Pacers, but there's no way they're stopping the Spurs, considering they're worse than last season and San Antonio is considerably better), I'd be willing to bet Bosh will be traded if he decides to opt in.

I think Wade stays at less than max

I think Ray stays if LeBron stays (he wants to ring chase and I don't hate him for it)

I think Chalmers goes elsewhere for more money

I think Battier leaves so he stops getting DNPs (San Antonio maybe?)

I think LeBron opts out - shops around - and ultimately resigns for max

Probably Wade as well, although he's clearly becoming the weak link for that team.

If Miami could trade him for something of value, they would do it in a heartbeat, but ultimately Wade likely retires with Miami.

At least earlier in the year, it sounded like LeBron would leverage his own free agency to make certain Wade got his contract -- in other words, threaten not to re-sign if Wade doesn't get his.  We'll see what actually happens, of course, but I expect all three to get max, or very very near max, deals.

Battier's done; this has been as well-documented as Fisher's retirement after this year is finished as well. I can't even imagine Ray's future after this year. If they win, does he retire? Win or not, does he retire or continue? Battier is a glue-guy whose at the end of his career but can still hit those big shots. Ray's...well he's Ray Allen. Can't imagine the difference in the locker room and court without those two guys, especially after losing Miller last summer. Also can't imagine James Jones being your only 3pt threat outside of the Big 3.

The Heat need role players to succeed. I wouldn't be surprised if the trip opts out just to see what Pat Riley can put together before signing new contracts or to see Chalmers gone for cap savings in lieu of younger, cheaper talent. I do not see anyone but LBJ getting a max-contract and this is only because of the potential talent he can be surrounded with. I don't foresee three max-players on one team like the Heat with adequate role players to guide them to another Finals. They need to stock the cupboards before doing anything else in my opinion.

I think they come back at/near max.  When Kobe signed his extension in the fall, LeBron said something like "We'll make sure Wade gets his Kobe deal."  This would imply that LeBron might leverage his own re-signing for Wade to get a max deal.  LeBron knows he can't get paid what he'd be worth on the open market because of the max salary, and moving to Miami and winning championships has helped his endorsements go to the next level, so I could see him being willing to give up a little to make sure Wade and/or Bosh get their max deals and return.

Of course, if the Heat don't win the title, that might be a different thing.  Also, all three players have early termination clauses, and two years left on their deals, so if Wade really felt like Miami wasn't going to give him nearly as much as he'd like, I doubt he opts out.
