Wouldn't that be the funniest. "Please Lebron come back to Cleveland, you can take Embid, Wiggins, Parker, Exum, who do you wan't Lebron, anything for you your majesty, I mean King James" All jokes aside He would pick someone better than their sorry GM.

Ok, So here is are final offer Lebron. Full GM Power, you hire any head coach you want. 10 percent
ownership. And a get out of jail free card. That's my final offer.

Bye bye Miami?

..Apparently NBA player-comissioner-messiah Lebron James informed his deputy Adam Silver that he intends to retire in Cleveland.

I wonder what kind of compensation Riley will ask for Spoelstra.

That would actually be a legitimately fair offer.

Where's the evidence he'd be a decent GM?

I don't think the OP said that Lebron would be a decent GM. He was implying that the Cavs decision-making has been so bad that his pick would probably pan out better.

I dunno, I keep thinking of MJ and his track record.

They have cap space to sign him, right?  Kyrie is a phenomenal player.  If Embiid is as good as people expect, that would be an outstanding Big 3.  Cavs have other assets as well.  Anthony Bennett showed some signs of being a terrific player later in the season.  Waiters and Tristan Thompson both have trade value.   A smart GM could turn that team around

Bennett barely saw the court later in the season, didn't he?

He had a terrible few months where he was injured and out of shape.   Then in February he showed some signs of life...

14 points 8 boards on 2/5
19 points 10 boards on 2/11
10 points 11 boards on 2/18
14 points in 13 minutes on 3/4

Then he got injured again and didn't return until the final game of the season where he put up 7 points and 7 boards in 15 minutes.

He's still a solid prospect with huge potential.  21 years old big who moves very fluidly, great shooting mechanics... watch this video by David Thorpe:  http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=10417145 ....  He'll be fine.

I don't think Embiid is ready enough to convince LeBron to jump ship right away. I'd only expect Embiid to put up something like 8-10ppg and 6-7rpg in 25mpg next season. Too soon in the development cycle for Embiid and several of their other young ones to land LeBron.

I think Cleveland would need to trade the #1 pick for an established star (like K-Love) to have a shot at getting LeBron back.

I think "showed some signs of life" is likely in the "not dead yet" vein.

I mean... I try not to write off 20 year old kids.  That's ridiculous.  Aren't you an Avery Bradley fan?  Didn't he average 1.7 points 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals on 34%/0%/50% shooting as a 20 year old rookie?

I wouldn't give up on Bennett.  He was taken #1 for a reason... his upside.  Nobody expected him to come in and start dropping 20 and 10.  Foolish to write off a 20 year old project after his first season.

This would be the ULTIMATE KI$$ A$$ MOVE for a desparate Cleveland franchise. they'll lose the respect of the league (if there was any)
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

Point of this thread is, The Cavs are a joke. Mine as well let one of us run the team. Nine out of ten Celtics bloggers are smarter than them.
