honorable mention to the Bulls owner for worst owner. guy is a multi billionaire but refuses to ever(maybe once) pay the luxury tax. goes as far as to make trades like Deng for Bynum to stay under the tax. also wont Amnesty Boozer(granted he has 1 last chance to prove me wrong) to free cap space.

That he wants to be profitable makes him a bad owner?

From a fan's perspective, yes.

I have to say that for some reason I've warmed up significantly to the Bucks' new owner since last night.

Great words from a great man

The owner has said he is willing to pay luxury tax for title contender.

The Bulls haven't been a title contender until recently and have had the last two years ruined by injuries to D-Rose. Couldn't get to luxury tax first year of contention because they were below the cap and used it to get free agents (Boozer and Co.) that summer. There hasn't been much of a reason + opportunity for Chicago's owner to pay luxury tax up to this point in time.

No point in amnestying Boozer prior to this summer either. Chicago were over the cap and wouldn't have gained enough cap space to make it worthwhile. It is only this summer were it has started to make sense ... and even then only if Chicago can get major FA to join them.

I think the Bulls owner gets a bad rap. He was happy to pay Jordan huge money in the late 90s to keep the Championships rolling. I see no reason to doubt his word that he would be willing to pay luxury tax for another Championship caliber team.

I don't think she has any shares yet.
