If Danny decides to trade it, I think a package including Sully and the number six pick will be very valuable.

If he decides to keep it, I think he'll find a very good player.

No. The pt is fans cant expect the world for this pick.   Its not the kind of pick that will net u an all star calibre player.

Does this mean that you don't think Aaron Gordon has all-star potential after all?

no. The Wolves for example don't want to backtrack by trading Love and replace him with a young player.

What are their options? Not trade him and let him walk? Shop him to teams that he won't stay with after next year?

Likely that package won't net Love. So what can the 6th, Sullinger and a future 1st get the Celts?
Any examples? or at least a name of a few players (available or not) to get an idea

It's a fairly pointless exercise. He could just say that package and a future first for Love. You don't really know whether Minny would take that offer or not.

naw they won't let him walk away for free. At the latest by next seasons trade deadline.

I already posted trade ideas for love that will make more sense for the wolves. For example a package for Lee, Thompson, Barnes. Or Parsons (signed), Terrence Jones, Beverly and a couple of firsts

I think that package puts us in the running for Love.  I'm not sure who else is available, but like I said, if the assets that he has don't get us enough of a return, I have no problem keeping the pick and using it to draft either Dario Saric, Marcus Smart, Aaron Gordon, or Noah Vonleh.  For now, the order I have them listed is my order of preference, but that is subject to change.

And, again, you don't know whether there's a player at 6 that the Wolves really like, or whether those packages will even be offered. Before we traded for KG people were posting loads offers from other teams that they felt were superior to what we'd offer Minny.

I don't think Sully has a ton of trade value, but the #6 pick certainly does.

You know danny got a little favor from mchale when that trade happened.    There should be an asterisk placed beside that trade

Yeah, Kevin probably had plenty of offers much better than ours but he just told the owner he was selling at a discount because he likes to golf with Danny. It's not like his job depended on making good trades or anything.

what happened to Mchale a few seasons later?

also kg was like 33 or 34.  The trade was ok for both sides imo.  (a little edge for the Celts)

Kevin Love is what 8 years younger? and in his prime.  The wolves prob want to at least replace the production

I think we forget about what a good prospect Al Jefferson was at that time.
As a 22 yer old, he averaged 16 and 11.  He also dramatically improved during the course of that season.  Out of curiosity I looked up his post all star stats that season.  He averaged 19.8 and 11.5 on 55.4% shooting.

Note the key "a few seasons later" that you seem to be missing. The owner felt that he gave away the best asset in franchise history at a discount so he fired him a few seasons later?

as the Draft approaches, our 6th Pick will start looking better to GMs around the League.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I agree that the number six pick probably has more value than Sully, but I don't think it would be enough to land Kevin Love on its own.  Sully would be a pretty good sweetener.
