What's wrong with this team next season:

PG:  Rondo, Pressey
SG: Bradley, McDermott
C:  Asik (from trade exception), Favrani, Olynyk
PF: Sullinger, Olynyk, Gordon (if we play small)
SF: Green, Gordon, Wallace

That team makes play-offs next season.  Would be fun to watch.  A lot of interchangeable parts.  Would be a little weak on the perimeter, but the idea would be a two year rebuild, hopefully Rondo buys in to it. I'm worried that we will give up too much for Love.

McBuckets ain't falling to 17.

I think we can hope to get Nurkic or Kyle Anderson there, though.

Staukas would also be nice, pipedream would be Gary Harris.

Do you have a guy projected by Draft Express as a PF in the NBA as your backup SG?

I want Rodney Hood at 17!

Can anyone sell me on Gordon? I understand he's a great defender, but I also understand he's quite limited offensively, which seems like the last thing this team needs.

He's a real hustling hardworker. I'm no fan, but his grit is impressive

Bleacher Report just had McBuckets picked 17 by Celts in post-lottery mock. Someone we like a lot will slide.

Most feel he is a small forward, which you could use interchangeably with shooting guard, especially with Jeff Green.

There's a reason why some people like to compare him to Kenneth Faried.  Do you like Faried?

A leader at 18, a versatile defender, unreal athletic ability, decent ballhandling skills and a great work ethic. Also did I mention he's only 18?

He could be our Paul George. Probably won't develop the same 3 pointer, but he's going to be stronger for scoring inside.

The kind of guy you can sick on the opponents' best player at 2 or 3 positions and win you a lot of games. And a good passer and dribbler as well.

I like Faried, though he isn't a shot creator, which I think Boston really needs.

All good things. I guess I'm just hoping for someone with a great offensive game, and from what I hear, he doesn't have that (not that I'd sneeze at all those qualities you mentioned).

That's certainly an encouraging comparison.
