What do you think?

I used to think Boston and New York would never make a deal, but now I am not so sure.

The Knicks literally have no picks til 2018, we have plenty.

Melo likes Rondo, Rondo plays for the Celts.

The Knicks have albatross deals they'd probably love to get rid of like Felton, Amar'e and Shumpert.

If the Celts agreed to take those deals, could you see Ainge and Phil coming to an agreement?

Also, would Melo agree to a long-term contract in Boston?

If so, would that not entice someone like Gortat to come play here via free agency?

I like the idea of getting Melo and think it could be done, just not with Amare and Felton.

Melo and Amare alone make $42 million combined. No way to make the $$$ match and make it attractive enough for them without completely eviscerating us.

If Knicks know Melo might go, or if they just want to start the rebuild, our draft choices are our best currency for them. Maybe all our non-guaranteed deals plus Green and Sully and a few protected firsts would do it.

Other than Bogans, what other non-guaranteed contracts are on the team?

Faverani? Joel Anthony?

No.

Love is with a team that can accept rebuilding and he has already said his going to bolt.

NY is going to be about keeping their star and grabbing the back page of the News Papers.

Would love Melo, but don't think he'd be available for cheap.

No.  Getting Love can potentially get us Melo.  Getting Love will be easier because we're trading for him.  Melo would be FA and I'm sure coming to Boston isn't on top of the list of team he'd want to go but if we can get Love, that can sway Melo our way

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my

We have $7.83 mil in unguaranteed contracts with Bogans, Pressey, Johnson and Babb. I'm not sure you could trade them all at once then add Green and Sully along with them, because that team would be taking 6 players and would need to have enough roster spots to accommodate them before waiving them. I could be wrong though...

Only problem with that is, the Knicks don't have anything else going for them right now.

Other than cap space for 2015, they have no draft picks, aging players on bad contracts and they can't even find a coach right now.

I would think if they were going to blow it up and start with a clean slate, they would do so this season.

I suppose they could also be major players for Kevin Love, but I don't see them having an attractive enough trade package to entice Minnesota.

I think Johnson, Babb and Pressey are all non-gauranteed in addition to Bogans. To make the numbers work, I think we also would have to offer two expirings in Anthony and Bass.
