  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Your 10 year old son is the obsessed and informed basketball fan I hope my 10 month old son will become. Good job!

But I think he's overpaying here. I also think that NYK would be hesitant, they need to turn it around quick, not slowly. Phil Jackson is not long for this job, although I think it's even odds he figures out how to cheat death and lives to be 110, so he can just continue handing out books to people and making sardonic but biting comments.

Can someone tell me what the first-round pick outlook for the New York Knicks is? I mean, when is the next time they have a first-round draft pick?

How would you feel if we landed the #1 pick and traded it along with filler for Kevin Love?

Because if you did that, Melo (a free agent) could potentially decide to force a sign-and-trade to Boston

I don't think Rondo-Melo-Love can win a championship
and i simply don't want to see Melo win one
so i will rather draft embiid and consider trading Rondo
or draft Parker and bring back PP to mentor his game

I don't think he is a franchise transforming player.   A good one, yes, but not even top five.

I really think a Melo + Love team would be mediocre.   Neither are lock down defenders and honestly not winners.

Oh, but unproven Embiid, Parker, and 36 year old Paul Pierce can.  I get it  ::)

I think with the right role players around them it would be an elite contender.

If you could somehow put a 2 guard like Lance Stephenson and a Rim protector like Asik, or even Mahinmi to make a starting 5 of something like:

Rondo
Stephenson
Melo
Love
Mahinmi/Asik

you'd have to take them as a top 2 or 3 team- I agree on their own they'd suffer defensively, but with the right guys to work the defensive 'chain' and cover their mistakes, that would be an awfully tough team to outscore in the playoffs.

Read that last line again. One more time.

If you can gather that team without giveup our lottery picks then yes i think that team can win
championships, but without talented bench players it's ECF or best Final exist to me

Hakeem also didn't have a serious stress fracture, and was pretty knowledgeable of basketball way before Embiid was on his path to discovering his talent.

I don't think a lot of users understand the seriousness of a stress fracture. Every torque, and every movement may or may not hinder his injury even more if it flares up. Hes a 7 feet guy who is going to suffer from continuous problems if he can't remain healthy enough.

Embiid is the type of prospect you go after; but isn't by any means a safe pick.

I've mentioned this in the past but I would consider a Joe Barry Carroll  like trade where you trade down for the 3rd or 4th pick and a talented young center.   On the plus side many teams set for a high lottery pick that actually do have a young center.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
We trade it and add 2 future picks for Anthony Davis.

I think stress fracture can be fixed by surgery, they put iron plate to stabilize the joint
 no?
