Be patient.

Don't make mistakes in a misguided attempt to compete next year.  Only make smart deals that moves the team forward.
This.

waiting it out another year will be painful for the 'immediate gratification' crowd but we'll be in a better position next offseason.  If some spectacular deals come up, great.  if not, don't make deals for the sake of making a deal.

If nothing else happens but the draft picks being added this year, next year our situation is basically:
- Rondo as a FA but can be resigned (would think this is pretty likely)
- KO and Sully have another year under their belts to have improved their games
- the 2 rookies have gotten some time to improve their games
- AB will only be here if he's on a reasonable deal
- Bass, Anthony and Fav come off the books
- Green and Wallace are going into the last years of their deals and could be good trade chips to use as salary balance in a big trade.

Agree with these posts.

Be patient, be ready for us to be in the same position next year at this time. Good deals will come along (like the PP KG to Nets deal) but don't expect that they will come along just because the fan base wants them to come along. Be patient and wait for them.
Celtics fan for life.

Just continue to be vigilant, Danny....move the team forward.

IMO, there are a few teams out there that he should perhaps keep an eye on, one of them being Minny. I just don't see how they will improve much next season...

The others are WAS and maybe DET....I say WAS because they had a good run, but I'm not too sure if that will be sustainable for them next season and beyond...DET? I don't see much improvement for them either...

Of those two teams, Gortat and Monroe are on my wish list...Gortat is probably untouchable, but you never know these days.

Danny has a ton of options...he'll steer the team back to success.

If the celtics get the 4th pick, I'm immediately converting to the LDS church! :D

Figure out a way to land Embiid, with a healthy back.
