Outside make a play at Love or Asik what do my fellow Celtic fans want to see Trader Danny do this offseason? Me I want a SG that can hit the 3 all day long.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I want Danny to use the top 3 pick we'll get next Tuesday on whichever player he thinks will be the best pro. I want him to acquire Asik for Pierce's trade exception, then beyond that I want him to do what he thinks is best with Rajon Rondo.

I believe we need to trade Rondo to start fresh.  Rondo isn't a great fit with our team and really does need better scorers around him to mask his offensive struggles.  In addition his matador defence is really becoming an issue over the past few years.  He's vastly overrated defensively.

Trade him for a lottery pick and contract filler to the Kings, or the Lakers and a good young player and an expiring.

Then we draft our 2 Lotto picks and 17th pick and go from there.  I really think we will struggle this year and likely be in the lottery again.

Come 2015 we'll have tons of cap-space and a nice Brooklyn first rounder.

Say we draft for example: Exum, Vonleh and PJ Hairston this year

Next year we go after some free agents and add some new picks.

Unless we somehow get a start like Anthony or Love this offseason we really should cut ties with Rondo!

Agree with all of this, especially re: Rondo's defense. I think that Danny can convince someone to overpay for him, for example if he can get the Lakers pick and land Smart or Gordon with it that would be sweet! Also, fingers crossed that the Clippers pick might be worth something next year...

Totally agree,We need to trade Rondo unless he accept 12m money
get 2 lottery picks and tank one more year for a good center ,maybe 2
then sign a super star or 2 all-stars and we are back to contenders

if there's a trade out there for rondo then they should definitely consider it. but if we get pick 4 or 5 I think we should try to do what we did in '08 and go all in.

Hit restart kinda but make it a quick rebuild.
I think lakers are going to be forced to contend next year so they might make a play for rondo of they offer #7 and ST Meeks for 3 years 9 mil I'll take that. Let AB go if he gets offered anything more than 4 mil a year. With our possibly number 5 pick draft Dante Exum, at 7 draft Noah Vonleh. Go into next year with the lineup of

Exum-Meeks-Green-Sullinger-Vonleh Olynk off the bench.

Come 2015 hope Kyrie wants out of Cleveland forces his way out by saying he won't resign in 2016. ST Kyrie to the max contract. Send Cleveland our 2015 lotto pick clippers pick and Brooklyn's 2017 pick top 3 protected. And however the salaries need to match. Resign green to a 4 year 20 mil dollar deal. Go into 2015 with the lineup of

Kyrie-Exum-Green-Sullinger-Vonleh with Olynk and Meeks leading the bench. My dream moves for DA to make.

Be patient.

Don't make mistakes in a misguided attempt to compete next year.  Only make smart deals that moves the team forward.

I don't care which of the following options he chooses as long as he chooses one of them.

1. Blow it up by trading Rondo, Bass, Green, etc. and acquiring younger players or draft picks.

or

2. Trade whatever young players and assets it takes to build a real legit contender around Rondo.  That of course means multiple moves, but do whatever it takes to get there.

The only I don't want is basically the status quo i.e. where we keep Rondo, Green, Bass, etc. and only add the draft picks and minor free agents.  I just don't see the point in that.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Agree completely with this. But from where I stand, option 2 seems less likely to happen than option 1. I don't think our assets are ripe enough to make a big move/s and form a contender.

I want him to text me back.

Of course, I also wanted him to use the Fab Melo Trade exception on me. Might have to settle for 0/2 -- I'd feel bad about taking up the space of the Courtney Lee TPE.

That why I think if a good trade opportunity presents itself for rondo we should push it. Get a few possible high tier talents in this draft to go with sully green and Olynk. Then make our moves in 2015 where some of our assets might look better exaples (clippers pick, KO, sully, all of Brooklyn's picks lol)

Looking for a replay of the 2007 offseason. We have plenty of picks to and assets to make an on the fly turn around.

Win. Every. Trade.

Doesn't matter what the deal is, as long as the Celtics get the better end of it.
