I never get what this means, sure they are very interested in him and many others...

Like I said before, they will probably pick someone other than the players people say they are interested just like every season I have been on CB.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Exum is probably the one player you can rest assured the C's won't pick.  not because Sherrod doesn't know anything but because he's likely to go as the #4 pick and the C's can't get that pick.

if C's in top 3, they're taking one of Embiid, Parker or Wiggins.  if not, they're at #5 at best and Exum will be gone by then

Maybe the C's will be trying to sell themselves to Exum in their interview out at the combine.

Exum could go as high as 2 if Orlando goes after him which is very posisble. They need a new PG and Exum is already friends with Oladipo and has Orlando down as a place he'd like to go. Don't think that if he has a nice workout that he couldn't leapfrog Parker or Wiggins.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Also been reported we were high on Parker and then was also report Wiggins was on the top of our draft board. Won't believe until I see him on the podium shaking Silver's hand with a Celtics hat on.

So I guess that means we want Embiid.  ;)

We should, apparently he's the next Hakeem.
Gotta take Hakeem over Penny Hardaway

What if the Celtics are sending smokescreens on Exum, b/c they have their eye on someone else?

If the Exum hype train continues and he's projected to go as high as #2, maybe the C's are sending out the word that they're over the top excited about Exum, so he goes early and someone else drops to the them..That guy who ends up dropping is really the apple of their eye.

The 'ole poker face and bluff from DA.

Oh, I'm interested in Exum...Still the mystery of him, but I think he has the potential to be legit at the one or two.

Just think the smokescreen is always a possibility.

My gut tells me that after Embiid, Exum is Ainge's favorite player in this draft.  He projects as being the guy with the best chance to become a top scorer and play-maker, kind of the next Derrick Rose.  Plus you could play him off of Rondo for the next year, and stay flexible on re-signing him, but not freaking out if you can't, since Exum seems to have the skill set to be a legit playmaker in the NBA.   Guys like Parker and Wiggins don't.   If you draft either of them, you better be sure that you re-sign Rondo.  You could say the same thing about Smart, though I don't think he has nearly as much upside as Exum.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

That's actually a really interesting point that I haven't seen brought up before.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

It assumes that Danny would rank Exum 4th among those 4 guys.  I think Ainge ranks him higher than that.

This reiterates my point at the end of the regular season how crucial it was to try to finish in the bottom 4.  That 2 game win streak at the end of the season will  be our undoing, if Jazz pick Exum ahead of us.

I think Rondo's fairly likely to get traded regardless of whom they're in a position to pick. (Unless maybe they can land Embiid and bring in Love or Melo.)

I could see Exum and Rondo as a version of Johnson/Nixon or Kidd/Kevin Johnson.
