there's jason collins who can at least protect the rim who is never been used
and swap williams for rondo? this team is deadly

rondo livingston johnson pierce kg
they limited chalmers battier jones allen on scoring, the problem is lebron's 49 points and there is no rim protector

i don't know how it goes next year, maybe if battier leaves or allen, no more wins for the heat
what do you think guys?

BKN's core is not sufficient to beat Lequeen and company.

Their core is Deron Williams, PP, KG, Joe Johnson. All of which are all-stars in their prime, but their talent has decayed too much to win against Miami.

With a healthy Lopez it could go 6 or 7, but the heat would still win the series IMO.

as others have said, the Nets core players are not in their prime.  Lopez would improve their chances but he can't turn back father time.  also, after seeing part of yesterday's game, despite the veteran leaders on the Nets, they didn't play particular smart down the stretch.  anyone else notice the same scoring drought down the stretch that happened for the Nets had been happening for several years for the C's.

maybe one of the problem is signing guiterrez and collins?
maybe arenas or gibson or telfair could somehow help as back-up pg's?
bigman who can play like ivan johnson or hamed haddadi who are useful inside

brook lopez is one of the best rim protector in league when healthy, like hibbert chandler cousins
his defense is weak, but if kg and lopez are both inside, it will be hard for lebron to attack the paint specially pierce on him, the problem is lopez chasing bosh on 3 point line, which create a weak defense inside where wade and james can attack, with kg left alone inside

this is good case for nets playing mirza at center chasing him at 3's but rebounding is an issue, it creates some space inside for johnson pierce williams to attack the rim, while bosh chase mirza at 3 point line

i also think the problem is coach kidd, collins hidden on bench, not giving more minutes on blatche, limitting kg's minutes

Yeah certainly not a Brooklyn sweep but it could stretch to a seventh game. I have never really liked Lopez's game and I think the Nets are better off without him actually (same for Deron Williams), so I don't think he would put them over the top.

they can't even beat the pacers without lopez who can match-up well againt's hibbert, all those 4 season swept from miami are closed games and some heat players are not healthy,
and now the problem has shown up, man kg can't clogged the middle with pp busy guarding lebron at pf and kg guarding bosh chasing him at 3's forcing kg to go out from the basket, it also happen in celtics vs heat game 7

and example you are facing the wizard, you will never put pierce on nene, and kg on gortat, you will definitely need lopez to help out,
and the problem is nets are slow team so going small againt's quick fast players of miami heat, they are good at transitional offense, everyone of heat players can shoot 3's
i think collins would help a lot upsetting lebron attacking the rim

and on d-will on scoring i'd go with williams, but on rebounding and assist i'd go with rondo
if rondo was on the nets team, he would have control the offense of the nets, johnson pierce kg livingston all can shoot mid-range, this is not the d-will we saw in utah, i think the nets team is built for deron, but as i see it, it should be built on joe johnson, no matter how high the salary is, but with those kind of performances, i love to have joe on my team

i somewhat agree, because lopez is too slow, he can't be chasing bosh out for 3's which open up some space inside, i just don't know if kg getting rebounds againt's lebron or pierce at sf

if you look at atlanta pero antic, hibbert can't chase antic for 3's that is why they are force to go small, the problem with nets is blatche can't also defend, as for rim protection, your best option is collins, on the defense if lebron has the ball, you can switch on collins for lebron if he attacks, if bosh hits 3's PF should chase this guy,

if i where the nets owner, i would pay another over the tax limit and get a decent center in exchange for collins, while lopez rest his knee, and since mozgov is a russian, maybe they can work something out, in this case sometimes you can move kg to pf, if you plan to bench either blatche or mirza

and if they are lucky to get a cheap back-up pg, maybe kendall marshall? that would be great for them, since kg will turn another year older, having another C is a good idea

and pierce should come off the bench for a while as SF, maybe 6th man of the year if he can

Just for conversation and kicks, I wonder if the Celts and Brooklyn would ever do another mega trade

Something like Rondo and filler for Deron Williams

I don't think Terry would do anything but I do think Evans could still be a very useful player for BKN. Similarly to Perk, I've always thought Evans brings defensive toughness to the team.

They are playing the best team in the NBA right now (maybe aside from the Spurs), and the best player in the game went for nearly 50pts, and it was a tie game with under a minute to go, which took a 3 pointer from Chris freaking Bosh to win it for them.

I don't think Pierce and KG will get enough credit for how they turned this Nets team around because they may lose 4-1, but i think they have been pretty competitive considering the amount of bonehead plays they have to put up with from Blatche and rookie Kidd and his horrific rotations and minutes. How about play AK on Lebron? That is the sole reason you picked him up, and your going to put him on Shane Battier?????
