anderson vs chalmers
johnson vs wade
pierce vs lebron
garnett vs haslem or lebron at PF
collins or blatche vs bosh

2nd unit
williams vs cole
livingston and thorton split minutes vs allen
ak47 vs battier or lebron
mirza vs beasley or battier?
blatche or plumlee 5 minutes a game vs andersen

DNP
plumlee limitted minutes
teague
guiterrez
thorton limitted minutes
collins limitted minutes

i think with these deep bench or nets vs heat's deep bench, the nets are better
i don't think a team like pacers bench can beat the heat, even with scola and turner

so what's yours?

I don't see how going big could possibly help Brooklyn. Even playing small they are at a quickness and athleticism disadvantage. Only their ability to switch most screens keeps their defense even somewhat together against the heat.

Only a lineup of New Jersey mobster thugs injuring the Heat players before the game is going to have much of an effect on the Nets' chances.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Starters:

Blatche
Pierce
Joe Johnson
Alan Anderson
Williams

Backups (10-18 minutes):

KG / Plums
Teletovic
Thornton
Livingston
AK47

Basically, if you get solid games out of Williams, Johnson & Pierce AND have either Thornton or Teletovic get hot  .. . the Nets will be in the game.

KG and PP are liabilities at this point. I would put a rotation of guys on LeBron and keep PP off of him as much as possible. Blatche is athletic. He's the best big in my opinion for BK at this point. Hands down . .. and on both ends.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I dont think any lineup change can help the Nets.

The only way Brooklyn can do is get Deron Williams playing in the Deron Williams level that we know.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

That version of Derron Williams has been gone for years now, I don't think he exists anymore. He died when he got Sloan thrown out of Utah.

Nets need 2008 KG, PP, DW, JJ and AK47.  essentially turn back the clock to when these guys were still at the top of their games.  A healthy Lopez would have really helped them too.

So D-Will inadvertently committed suicide, basically?

I understand D-Will worked really well in Sloan's system. Karma for forcing the retirement of one of the best coaches in history, I suppose.

So does this mean that Rondo is better than Deron now?  ;D

Hey hey simmer down now. If D-Will is the nth best point guard, then Rondo is (n+1)th best point guard in the league.

scoring wise i'd go with deron

rebounding and assist i'd with rondo

man if rondo was the point guard of the nets right now?
i don't care about 3 or 4 or 6 seconds holding the ball

johnson pierce garnett and a low post scorer  blatche with those 3 point shooters of mirza thorton and anderson? oh man, even ak47 might get 10points a game

no matter how many points williams make, its not enough, what the nets need from williams is 10 assist more than per game and offense will come and flow

jason kidd needs to put more minutes on mirza and ak47
but... lebron at pf switch it, you can put ak47 at PF and mirza on SF for battier

on the other side playing mirza at center vs. bosh forces bosh to go outside the paint chasing 3's, or unless they double team mirza, in this matter, it gives nets players a chance to attack the rim so my best players will put though is

williams
anderson
livingston
johnson
mirza

all shooters and quick players
the only problem is who will rebounds the ball

so your 2nd unit would be like
thorton
pierce
ak47
blatche
kg

its really hard to adjust the rotations

If I was Kidd i'd probably tell the current roster to go fishing and just wait to have Parker, Duncan, Leonard, Splitter, and Green start.
