Can Doug McDermott really be called a wing prospect, though? No way he's a competent SG in the pros, and he seems better suited as a stretch four than a power three, no?

I'd put my money on McDermott and Stauskas ahead of Harris.

Having a deadly jumpshot in the pros can get you far.  Just look at Redick and Korver.

Lots of shorter wings who can defend a little and shoot a little, on the other hand.

I'm having a hard time believing that Mike Miller can get consistent minutes on the wing and as a small ball 4 and yet Doug McDermott is going to be such a defensive liability that he can't play.  Mike Miller has been a dinosaur for a while, but he can shoot like the dickens and rebound okay for his size.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Still being a defensive liability can really hinder you which is why he is behind players like Harris.

Where's Kyle? I'd put him 3rd or 4th.

(And I'll be happy if he stays down in the #17 range where DraftExpress has the C's picking him.)

I like the fact that Hood is so fare down the list, if available at #17 he could really be a steal.  He has size and can really shoot.

Anyone else think Chad Ford has a drinking problem?

I still think he has a drinking problem.  He was probably sitting in a hut in the Caribbean somewhere with a bottle of rum and some spliffs, making up conversations with "scouts and GMs," while hastily writing this up to meet his deadline at ESPN.

AGREED. TJ Warren is a major prospect and Aaron Gordon is a top 10 pick guaranteed.

I will be upset if we don't come out of the draft with one of the top 7 wings.

After the first sentence, sounds like a good gig to me. If someone keeps payin', I keep playin'. ;D

Exactly.  I know a lot of fans want to make Aaron Gordon a 3 but NBA folks don't view him as a 3.  Just because a guy is 6'7" to 6'9" and great athlete does not mean he can play on the wing in the NBA.

I am surprised that T.J. Warren is not on that list, but wings are 2s and 3s - explicitly NOT Aaron Gordon's position.

Just curious -- what part of that sounds like a problem to you?  ;D

It's really, really hard to make your deadlines when you're on a bender though -- even remotely. I don't think Chad Ford has the fortitude for it.
