Mock draft?

Count me in. But it would be more interesting if we instead pick for the Celtics and aggregating the results after the draft and see how far off or how near we were. Take last year's draft, nobody saw K.O. being taken by the Cs.

The tough part is having to be 'representative' of the choice for some other team -- if we are all Celtics fans here, how unbiased and can one expect to be when picking for, say ... the Lakers?

How about, once the order is set, just voting via poll for each spot.

I.E., do one pick at a time and let everyone vote from about 5-10 possible players at that spot.

So if say, Milwaukee gets the #1 pick, we all vote on who we think they will take at #1.  Whichever player wins that vote is now off the board.   

We then move on to the #2 pick.  And so on.

Heck we hve time on our hands here. How about a pre lottery draft, a post lottery day draft, AND we do a poll draft after the lottery. I think it would be interesting to see how different each of these mocks could be.

In the case of the poll draft, we could probably just run a poll to get us through 17 picks. After that interest would probably drop. The trick with a poll draft is that we would end up with a ton of threads.... Or at least 17

Agreed. I like the unpredictability factor.

Though there are certain teams more appealing to me to draft for (Bos, Phi, Phx), the armchair GM in me will still try to make what I think is the most logical pick for any team and explain the thought process to the board.

Two weeks til the real lottery is a long time. This should be fun in the meantime.

Good points.  But there will probably still end up with SOME variation from those other mocks, and if we end up closer to 'correct', then we can brag that CB has smarter fans than other sites.

Of course, when we end up totally missing the mark by a mile ...
