Hey Missery,

What did you think of the Nets playoff series against the Raptors? KG doesn't look done yet!! I'm really excited to see The Truth and The Big Ticket match up against the Heat once more (regardless of the uniform), and I think they have a bigger chance then many people are giving them.

Dwill has to step up though, he is the key, against the Raptors he had Lowry and Derozan to defend so he gets a pass for now, but he needs to step up against the Heat if they want to win.

stop d-wade and lebron, heat are done

johnson/anderson = d-wade
pierce/ak47/mirza = lebron

blatche/kg/plumlee = bosh/birdman
collins = oden

livingston = cole
willams = chalmers

thorton/livingston/anderson = allen
pierce/mirza/ak47 = battier/haslem/lewis/beasley

others not so good (reserve)

trapped zoned defense might work
big man line-up or 2 big man front-court kg at PF and plumlee at C or blatche at PF and kg at C

force lebron and d-wade to a jump shooter then grabbed rebounds againt's bosh

half-court press pressure
williams 10+ assist per game and kg pick n' roll defense and offense

Yeah.  I don't think this Nets team is fast enough to deal with the Heat when they are actually trying, or big enough to make them slow down.

The Heat are a very, very different team in the playoffs.  I could see the series going 5 instead.  Gentleman's sweep.

Heat in  6
Wash in 6
OKC in 7
SAS in 7

I really think Wash can pull off the upset.  Indy got it together enough in 7 against Atlanta but Washington has more overall talent than Atlanta and has had a taste of winning now.

It'll be interesting to see how much Washington plays Nene at center, since Nene was so effective in pulling Noah away from the basket.  In theory he could do the same to Hibbert, and Washington also has Al Harrington to pull David West out of the paint.

Miami to win in a short series (4 or 5 games) against Brooklyn. Nets old legs no match for Miami's speed and athleticism.

Indiana vs Washington = I think it will be a very close battle. The two team's starting lineups playing each other fairly even. I think Indiana has a better bench and I think that gives them a small edge in a close series. So I am thinking 6 or 7 games to the Pacers.

I am going to go with the Spurs experience over the Blazers youth in 7 games in an incredibly close series that could easily go either way.

I think OKC beats LAC in 6 games. I don't think the Clippers have an answer to Kevin Durant and I expect him to be the best player in the series. The PG matchup should be great. I'd love to see Westbrook put on a show and outplay CP3. Westbrook's size and athleticism has caused CP3 issues in the past. When Westbrook plays with high level effort defensively against rival top PGs, he can be really fun to watch.

That's where my allegiances lie in the 2nd round.

I like the Blazers, but I can't root against the Spurs.

Try as I may, I can't root for the Clippers.  I'm always impressed by Chris Paul, and I'm SERIOUSLY impressed by how much Blake and Deandre have improved this season.  All of that means that Doc deserves commendation, also.  But I find myself wanting the other team to win almost every time I watch them.

As for the East, I'm with you, although I must say I find it hard to like the Nets, either.

Honestly, now that the Celtics are bad, I think I can look at things a bit more objectively and say that the best thing for the NBA and the game of basketball would be a rematch of LeBron vs Durant -- hopefully one that lasts 6 or 7 games this time.  If we can't get that, then I suppose Chris Paul vs LeBron would be the next best thing.
