TJ Warren comparable to Joe Johnson?

Just saw the Nets beat the Raps. The way TJ Warren plays reminds me of the way JJ operates.

Both guys are 6'8 with 6'9 wingspan(not the best) and have so many ways to score on you , especially that deadly floater. Johnson is a better shooter and has slightly better handles. Warren a better thief on the defensive end, offensive rebounder and scorer in transition. Both guys are just ok as defenders.

TJ Warren I doubt will be available at 17. But if he is DA needs to consider getting him. Just a gifted/crafty/efficient scorer we could really use for more offensive firepower.

That said, I also wanted Arnette Moultrie and that Perry III guy from okc .  I also thought KO was a bad pick and JJJ/Fab could be good players if given time .  I just got new glasses so we'll see if that helps

I wanted us to take Looney toones White and Moultrie and I wasn't upset with taking Fab ...... Ugh....that's a tuff pill to swallow right there

On the positive side I was hoping DA would take KO and Sully  and I was not happy about taking JJJ, could have had Parsons ....ugh .....bang head on wall. 


So.....other than the top 4 or 5 picks ......I don't even trust myself  with a pick.....but I d bet the ranch on Parker being a star one day.

I really can't be mad at Danny for drafting Fab---it was a Garbage draft---one of the worst all time....I'm hoping for DA to get another pick, or trade up--to get the guy he wants--like KO last year.

I also like Warren - he just is so savvy in his scoring ability. If put in the right situation, I definitely can see him succeeding.

I am also cautiously optimistic about Gordon. I don't see any possible way he turns out as a bust - his defense and energy are NBA ready. Also, going at 5 or 6, he isn't expected to be a superstar.

Isn't Marcus Thornton strictly an outside shooter?  Or am I thinking of the wrong player?  Because that seems like the opposite of Warren's game.

OMG Parsons! .  Yea I trust Danny's pick prowess a bit more than my own, but not by much.  Let's hope he drafts what's the best player and best fits not projections.

Gordon is clutch. It doesnt matter if he doesnt have a steady jump shot or doesnt have this or that. Teams he has played for win and go far.

You cant say that about smart. At the u19 he didnt play alot nor made much of an impact. Gordon played very little in the beginning but also made impact . His min started to increase etc. Elfrid Payton the same.  Coaches like these kind of players imo bc of their iq, leadership, two way play and low turnover numbers/making the right play

Gordon is no lebron but he is going to help you win. There is an issue or a player killing you and he will try to bandaid the problem. If the scoring is not an issue he will let others take care of it and take care of things in the defensive end/dirty work. If it becomes a problem he will try to carry the team on the offensive end (like he did vs Wisconsin, carrying Arizona in the last 5 mins). IQ is high

No. Marcus Thornton was a versatile scorer coming out of LSU. In the NBA, often due to limited playing time (dodgy defender, limited passer),  M.Thornton doesn't get to show of his array of moves and scoring ability.

TP for having the backbone to admit what your prior preferences were.   I have to admit I was in the same boat with you on Moultrie, PJIII and JJJ.  didn't think anyone was a foolish as I.  I will say that I hated the Melo pick with a passion and was not a fan of the KO deal but wasn't as ticked off as I was about Melo
