Watching the Warriors come up just short against the Clippers last night, I came to the conclusion that they are a team that is still a couple moves away from being ready to make a deep run in the playoffs.
But what can be done to shake up and actually improve that roster?
Here's my first idea (maybe not a very good or realistic one):
David Lee
Harrison Barnes
Klay Thompson
2015 1st
for
Kevin Love
Kevin Martin
That only works if the Timberwolves are interested in still being competitive after trading Love, rather than tanking (again). If the T-Wolves were game, I think Love would be on board. He's a California boy, and playing with a point guard who can actually shoot would be a revelation.
What's your idea for the Warriors? Or do you think they have what it takes if they more or less stand pat, hoping for Bogut to stay healthy one of these years?
