In OKC newspaper, the headlines read, "Mr. Unreliable."

A clear shot at a dismal performance from Kevin Durant, who is still the 2nd best player in the league, and is supposedly the MVP of this years regular season.

Tony Allen has been playing superb defense, and taking advantage of Durant's average post game by denying passes, contesting, and making it absolutely impossible for Durant to gain any lee way offensively over TA.

Well if the OKC is getting 'tired,' of him, or dissing him right now, how does that make Kevin Durant feel?

If Danny Ainge can secure a great lottery pick, I'm all for sending any of our picks to grab Kevin Durant.

If we get Kevin Durant in the next few years, and he commits to re-signing or we have a surplus of his contract still remaining.. I'll name my firstborn child Kevin.

I guess the trade would be to send either this years pick, all of the Nets pick, and any of the future Celtics pick until 2017, Sully, Green, and anyone else to match salaries.

Then we could just clear cap space, and sign Marc Gasol, who would immediately consider Rondo/Durant the two prominent nucleus to contend.

Its not just Tony, the entire Memphis defense is tilted towards Durant. They have two help defenders shading towards him to deny him space if he gets past Allen's pressure.

OKC needs to build a better system to generate good looks out of this plan of attack. I'm sure they already "run" plenty to counter this but they clearly don't implement it fluidly or effortlessly like you have to in basketball to succeed at this level.

I just don't think Scott Brooks is a good enough coach to lead them to a championship.

Giving credit where its due, Allen has been locking down and making it tough for Durant to feel comfortable for 3-4 years now.

If anything Allen is the best defender to put on Durant.

I would cry tears of joy. All we would need is a solid Center, and defensive shooting guard/rebounding PF, and that's a contender right there.

Anyone else immediately start thinking of Mr. Bad Example by Warren Zevon?

Agreed.  Doesn't help that there is not passing from perimeter to attack the help that's coming from their bigs.  Gasol bum rushes the ball handler on pick and rolls most of the time and they don't really look at the roll man.  Particularly, yes Westbrook.

Durant hasn't played well but he's also had TA and Gasol, two fantastic defenders, all over him.

Ainge is probably smiling somewhere deep inside, and checking his calendar.

The honeymoon is over in OKC. Now that they have expectations and keep getting disappointed, they are becoming just like every other city.

They were bound to become jaded eventually.

yeah i'm sure some news article by some reporter reflects the organization's views on their best player. Durant isn't going anywhere.

the grizzlies are doing to Durant what we did to lebron - forcing the other players to beat them but also have allen who is rising to the challenge and playing his heart out.

Durant certainly needs a much better low post/post up game to maximize his effectiveness to make the others around him better. but overall this team sucks around him and this isn't something new. this was expected by many when they got rid of green and harden. so for Durant to suddenly become "mr. unreliable" let's not forget this scrutiny was coming.

They should have kept Harden and Green

Traded Westbrook for a decent center .

The problem with OCK is that they don't have any really outstanding spot up shooters, from the 2's or 3's. And the couple good shooters they have, Durrant may not be using to his advantage.

Look at Jordan Before they surrounded him with good shooters, they didn't win, the opposing teams could just double team. But you add guys like Armstrong,Paxon,Kerr,Harper,Grant, and Hugh Jackman twin brother (lol), you had to respect those guys, because Jordan started to trust them and they came threw. Than with Pippen as you're wingman it's hard to beat.

I don't think that OKC will get rid of Durrant this season, they will try to move Ibaka and Perk for some cheaper spot up shooters.

But man, wouldn't it be nice, move a top 3 and contracts for Durrant. And then let a Love come to Boston....WoW....Draftnight can't come soon enough! LOL!

Ibaka's the only reason OKC hasn't given up roughly 700 points per game.
