rondo/bayless
bradley/terry
pierce/green
sullinger/faverani
kg/olynyx

and others

maybe ainge acquired a center via trade?
and can we beat this raptors team as nets having a hard time
rondo vs. lowry?

rondo-lowry
bradley-derozen
pierce-ross
sullinger-amir
kg-valenciunas

with doc rivers as coach?

what would be our record?
30+ wins? and 20+ loss?

we are also not beating the raptors?
rondo can't defend lowry?

so if the nets lose 1st round exit
nets GM made a bad decision trading for veterans?
because next year, nothing is change but just a healthy brook lopez with kg moving back to PF again and pierce to SF

its also like saying that because the nets made it through the playoffs its because of d-will johnson and livingston? so they are better than green bradley rondo?

Ainge was reportedly interested in Paul Millsap, so if the Celtics could have worked out a sign-and-trade for Millsap (presumably meaning that Kelly Olynyk would have ended up in Utah), gotten a veteran like Beno Udrih to hold down the starting PG job until Rondo returned, and picked up a veteran center for the minimum to eat up center minutes and help preserve KG, would the Celtics be playoff contenders?

A starting lineup of Garnett, Millsap, Pierce, Bradley, Rondo and a bench of Sullinger, Green, Udrih, Bass, that veteran center, and maybe Lee and Crawford are still around

I was wondering the same thing. I think they would be as good as any team in the eastern conference not named the Heat. In this east anything is possible.
optimism is a skill

No. Maybe in the playoffs, but not a contender.

No,

The time spend without Rondo in the early season would have worn PP down and the lack of length inside would have not allowed KG enough rest.

DA would have been forced to mortgage the future to keep that team a float one more year (trade away pick that became KO or future picks). He made the right call shipping them out.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Maybe this Nets team could use a little more energy, but I think you are glossing over the fact that Lopez is a humongous part of the their team. With him, they would absolutely be in a better position than they are now.

Participant yes.

Contender no.

Danny thought it was time to rebuild ,  KG can't dominate a game  like he did 7 years ago. He is a shadow of the player of 2007

At this point, KG looks pretty cooked.  As a fan, I supported keeping the guys in green, but Danny made the right call.

yup. 2012 conference finals was his last hurrah basically and DA knew it.

so the raptors are 3 and nets are 2
are the nets winning it in a crucial 7 game series and move to the 2nd round playoffs

so if the nets are a 1st round exit team, this trade is win-win for us and a loss for brooklyn?
