Misleading title ;)

Quote
The home of Indiana Pacers leading scorer Paul George was reportedly burglarized during the team's 107-97 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night. George's platinum NBA All-Star ring is among the items alleged to have been taken from the home.

Julie Pursley of RTV6, Indianapolis' ABC affiliate, reports George's parents?who live in the home?discovered things had been taken from the house, and police were called shortly before midnight.

In total, more than $15,000 in goods were taken in the apparent heist, including "a 2014 Paul George NBA platinum All-Star ring with diamonds, a watch and a pair of Air Jordan 4 'Toro' shoes. A $20 bill was also taken from the home."

Police said there were no signs of forced entry at the home.

The police report states the theft occurred sometime between 7:15 and 11:45 p.m., covering the time period of the game, which took place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Investigators told the station security footage from the home is being reviewed.

George's parents claimed they didn't lock the door before leaving because they didn't have a key. Police said the alarm system in the home was also not set.

George scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a losing effort for the Pacers, who fell behind 3-2 in the first-round series. If the third loss in the series wasn't frustrating enough, even his own fans heckled him. Returning home to find thousands of dollars' worth of possessions missing is just piling on to the NBA star.

Sounds like a set up though. Why would his parents come over without a key? So you're not going to lock and leave the door unlocked to a expensive home, with the alarm system not set in that night?

I think the parents swiped the $20 bill. Gas prices are on the rise you know.

They probably swiped it just in case, they needed a real reason to get wasted off of some beers after watching this photo of Roy Hibbert.

Well, they live there, according to the article.

There are some people who keep a limited number of keys to their house and require other family members who live there to borrow one and return it after use rather than giving them their own key.

I know. I just kind of find it funny that his parents wouldn't lock the door. That's asking to get robbed.

Also quite coincidental that some robbers happened to assume that Paul George's mansion would just be unlocked and unalarmed this night.

I don't question but that some people do that. My question is why?

I don't want to assume the parents were involved, but....

Some people are control freaks.
