It's a pretty silly conspiracy. Given that the legality of any sort of real punitive action against Sterling is pretty sketchy, regardless of how awful a human being he is, and given that anyone who has been paying attention to Sterling for the past 20 years knows he is both a racist and a monstrous toad of a human being.
I mean, this is a big controversy, sure, probably the biggest he has been a part of from a pure PR standpoint. But it isn't the stickiest legal situation he has ever been in, and neither is there a clear way to get rid of him at this point.
